Ep 40 - The Truth About NZ's Education System w/ Luke Kemeys
ven though this episode is titled the “truth” it’s actually all opinions... 😅⠀Next weeks episode might be a little confronting, Luke and I choose to dissect our own experiences in the traditional education system. We discuss what makes it shit, what makes it great and how we would change it!⠀It’s not all negatives though we also discuss how we are and plan to change this going forward! I’m really excited to bring you this episode mostly because it’s something I am trying to change through this podcast.⠀I truely believe the traditional education system does not prepare you for making the most of the life you’re given. Financial education, sexual health education and mental health education are main gaps that need to change.⠀Can’t wait to hear your thoughts as well! Remember at the end of the day this is just an opinion and if you don’t agree then that’s totally fine - message me! Would be cool to discuss anyway. Opening up these conversations is the only way anything will change.

Ep 39 - The Power of a Good Quote, My Favourites & Why! SOLO EP
Have you ever read a quote and then it has just stuck with you forever? ✨⠀I definitely have a few and then variations of some that I always resonate with. I don’t think a quote will be the thing that changes your entire life journey (although maybe?) but I think they are awesome little motivators for everyday.⠀This week coming I wanted to switch it up with a solo ep, reintroduce myself to any new listeners and just have a really chill chat about motivation, inspiration and living your best life 😜✌🏽 #livelaughlove⠀No but seriously, this ones a bit light hearted to break it up and I honestly looovvveee talking about things like this. Would love to hear your thoughts as always.

Ep 38 - The Inspiring Life Story of a Multi-Exit Entrepreneur w/ Robett Hollis
You are going to be blown away when you listen to this episode ✨ Why?⠀Robett Hollis among many other things is an extremely successful and influential entrepreneur living out a journey that left me with no excuses not to go after what I want. He has already made an impact on this world that will be remembered for years to come and continues to make moves to do more every day.⠀Robett has launched & founded New Zealand’s largest action sports media network, content agency Frontside and commercial real estate & shared workspace facility ColabNZ. On top of that Robett is a Snowboard world championship silver medalist! 🤯⠀In addition to this he is on a journey to tear down tall poppy syndrome and inspire kiwi youth to be relentlessly driven in their personal journey to success. Robett does not waste his time so it was nothing short of an honour to have been given a portion of it to record this episode.⠀When I say don’t miss this, I mean it.⠀Do more, be more, say #yestosuccess.

Ep 37 - From Financial Hot Mess to Success! Money Chat w/ Frances Cook
What an honour and pleasure it was to have Frances on the pod for an ep! 😍🙌🏽⠀@francescooknz is both a podcast host and author of two financial literacy havens! ✨ If you haven’t heard of Cooking the Books podcast or Tales from a Financial Hot Mess - where have yah been? 🤓⠀I knew I wanted Frances in here to share her journey, knowledge and thoughts surrounding all things finances! She has an extremely relatable story and I know how many of you will value this episode. We get her thoughts on sorting finances coming out of lockdown (or heading into one...), helpful resources and important things to keep in mind!⠀I feel like this comes at no better time as well! I really appreciate when people like Frances are open about their stories because no one starts as a money whiz or really really caring about their finances! It is learnt behaviour and we will get an inside scoop into how it’s done 👏🏽DISCLAIMER: The information in this episode is provided for general and entertainment purposes only. Ep 36 - Investing for Long Term Wealth w/ Hatch Co-founder Kristen Lunman
You NEED to listen to this ep, why? 🤓⠀Because I asked my friends recently - will you guys begin investing your money at some point? Not one said yes. Personally that told me that this message obviously isn’t getting through 😂 Not saying you should invest, but it should at least be something you look into.⠀Building long term wealth is IMPORTANT. Work smarter not harder for your future self. Don’t work for your money, make your money work for you. I could throw you 1 million cliches and most probably still won’t listen 🤪⠀It really doesn’t have to be intimidating! It can be easy peasy lemon squeezy mate 🤯🤯If anyone has any any questions about investing please ask me! On Monday we bring on @_jack.windler to give us all the juicy goss on buying a first home or home in general!⠀I had so many questions about the property purchasing process (alliteration queen over here) and they’ve all been answered! Further to this we cover a bit about Jacks story, in the industry & out 🙌🏽. This will be a very insightful, helpful and valuable episode for everyone.DISCLAIMER: The information in this episode is provided for general and entertainment purposes only. Ep 34 - The University Experience - My Financial Do's and Don'ts
If you went to uni, what is your biggest spending regret? And don’t tell me it’s getting a degree 😂⠀On Monday’s episode I go absolutely iiiinnnn on my money story through university and why it was a semi shit show. I would say I’m usually a good saver but hit with the temptation of “free money” this proved not to be the case.⠀I’m keen to hear if your experiences were similar or completely different! I let you know what I would’ve done differently in terms of money and how I could’ve set myself up a lot better by making some small changes.⠀I really enjoyed reflecting on all of my decisions because I can now pass it on to others! Who hopefully won’t make those same decisions 😅🤞🏽 It’s a big choice to go to uni in itself and I don’t think it’s right for everyone. But if it is right for you this might be your ep!DISCLAIMER: The information in this episode is provided for general and entertainment purposes only. Ep 33 - Getting out of Debt & Killing the Game w/ Courtney of @TheManuss
Omg omg omg I’m so STOKED! And I know a lot of you have been waiting for this one...⠀A few weeks ago now I sat down with the lovely Courtney behind @themanuss and we discussed her financial journey to date! A good friend of mine recommended I follow Courtney and I knew I wanted to bring her on straight away.⠀Courtney is so many things but just to name a few; mum of 3 (absolutely love seeing the fam on the gram 😍) business owner, financial content creator, inspiration and all round amazing person! 💯 Courtney has had her own personal struggles with debt but managed to come out the other side after educating herself!⠀The lessons within this episode are KEY for anyone out there who has debt or wants to upskill financially - this is a normal story that I’m sure so many of us can relate to!⠀I feel honoured to have such an admirable and successful woman join me on an ep and hope you all love it 😍⠀

Ep 32 - What the Heck is Cryptocurrency? All Q's Answered w/ Janine Grainger
You might see the word cryptocurrency and instantly register you won’t understand so tap out of this episode - Here’s why that’s a bad idea ✌🏽⠀After recording this episode with Janine, I came to realise how increasingly prevalent cryptocurrencies are in NZ (as well as well implemented globally) ✨ To me, I saw them as this big scary unknown - but it’s actually extremely interesting and after reflection has a lot of benefits.⠀I’ll leave it up to you to decide but definitely watch out for Monday’s episode! Janine Grainger is the co-founder of @easycrypto.ai . An online platform allowing kiwis to buy and sell a range of cryptocurrencies. You may of heard of Bitcoin for example - that is a type of cryptocurrency.⠀Janine is amazing and completely broke this topic down in an approachable and easy to understand way. Janine also touches on the importance of online scams etc which I think is incredibly relevant! Can’t wait for you all to listen.

Ep 31 - Insurance?! What Role does it Play for Young People ft. Pat Sellars
Insurance is something we’ve all heard of, know the gist of what it’s all about, some of us may already have it! But for me I never really knew why it was important to have insurance at a young age.⠀I’m not talking car insurance I think we can all agree why we need that 🤪 (maybe some more than others). We are talking life, health, income protection etc... what’s the deal with this type of insurance??⠀As per the classic one up style, we are taking it back to the very very BASICS. I ask all the main Q’s and Pat was awesome in giving us some extremely helpful info!
