What did I Learn From The Happiest Man on Earth?
Kia ora to all the beautiful people about to listen to this episode, you are joining thousands each month looking to upskill and become a better version of themselves.I recently finished "The Happiest Man Alive" a book by Eddie Jaku, survivor of Buchenwald and Auschwitz concentration camps in World War 2. Eddie Jaku was born in Leipzig, Germany in 1920. He had always considered himself German first and then Jewish. He was an extremely proud German but when the war began he very quickly saw home in a very different way.In this episode I break down his experiences, his reflections and how I see them relating to the world we live in today! This episode is completley explorative and has left a lot of room for curiosity, it is not the quick, practical takeaways I typically take from books. Let me know your thoughts?Things we discuss in this episode:How history can repeat itselfHow people can be desperate and still have a "moral compass"How we define "right and wrong" depending on the contextWhat makes a good life? The power of believing in othersLooking forward to hearing from you as always - enjoy the episode!Keen to learn more about personal growth, career and money?
