When To End The Heavy Stuff, And Weird Things We Do!
One of my favourite ever episodes - As usual we went off topic, talking about stories from when we first started lifting, strange things we do to push ourselves to make life a little more challenging, and of course the sheer beauty of Ilya Ilyin's lifting. The main topic of the show was about how to know when to end heavy training, as well as how many misses to allow yourself.

On The Topic Of Programming...
After we discuss Glenn's curry, we get onto the topic of programming. We discuss how his programming for athlete Ed Maxwell has changed upon meeting Ed and watching him lift. We also talk about ways to strengthen weaknesses, how to spot a weakness visually, and also the utility of sets of 5 in the snatch and clean. Finally we take a few questions from snapchat - WL_House

Moving slow vs moving fast - Force Production
A terrific episode from my last day in the USA with the People's Coach. We spoke about the pros and cons of moving fast and moving slow, specifically how it relates to force production. As Glenn explains more force can be produced with a heavier load that causes you to move slowly, however sometimes moving quicker in training than in competition is necessary.

Camp Round Table
This week whilst I am at the camp Glenn and I thought it would be fun to have a few of the athletes on the show. This week we have Brandon Deines, David Hamor, and Seth Dahlke to give their opinions on the tough double day training that we are undergoing at the camp this year. All 3 great lifters, all 3 on Pendlay WOD.Enjoy and share!

Specificity VS Adaptation - Im in the USA!
I am finally in the USA with the People's Coach. This week, side by side, we recorded a great episode about Bulgarian training vs Russian training, ie specificity of training rather than the building of more general athletic qualities. We also spoke about some of the great lifters throughout history and potential battles to come in Tokyo 2020. But first of all I met Cortez, Glenn's prize rooster.

WL News - Christmas Episode
Merry Christmas, Weightlifting Housemates. Whilst most of the weightlifting world had shut down for the last few days, fortunately some athletes carried on training. This week's episode is short but it is sweet. There is a lot to look forwards to over the next few weeks for weightlifting House. Specifically my arrival in the USA, and all of the footage and podcasting that Glenn and I will do.
