This is a sermon I delivered on Luke 10 and Mary and Martha. (Note there is a short section of sound difficulties near the beginning) I address the issue of women in the Church. This might be one of the more important sermons I have presented. I argue that we must look at the role of women in the Church from a kingdom perspective. What is the role of women in the new creation? If we know the answer to this, and we believe that the new creation has already begun, then what does that mean for the role of women in the church today? For years I held a very conservative/traditional view.
