Back in 2005 when I started my first business doing mobile phone unlocking, I had no idea what I was doing or how to make it successful. I just winged it until I managed to make it work. A few years later, when I came up with the idea for the Female Entrepreneur Association, I was drowning in doubt and wondering to myself, “who am I to do this?!”. It felt so much easier to procrastinate and just do nothing about it, so I stayed stuck for 3 whole years before I actually went ahead and did something about it! So many of us are sitting on amazing ideas, but sometimes we just can’t get out of our own way to make the progress we desire. If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed, stuck or frustrated, the good news is that there is a way to get out of your own way and create the success that you desire!  So in this episode I’m sharing with you some powerful tips to help you get out of your own way, break through that feeling of overwhelm and frustration and make things happen!  I’m sharing: The first thing you need to do to make your idea instantly more achievable. 125: How to Work Less and Achieve More

How do we get stuff done that gets results? So often we end up feeling really busy doing a lot of stuff but not actually getting results. I get asked a lot how do I manage my time effectively juggling children, building a business, or having a full time job and building a business. It can be so crazy to have another priority and a business, it’s overwhelming at times - for me, balancing being a mum and having a business has been a real struggle at times. Manage my time effectively and getting things done, I felt so irritated with myself that I wasn’t making progress - you know how it feels when you’ve got these big dreams and goals but you don’t seem to be getting anywhere with them. It’s so annoying and frustrating. I had a big shift in realisation that have hugely changed the way I approach managing my time and I wanted to share it with you.  The fact that you’re busy and you also have other priorities outside of your business doesn't mean that you can’t build a wildly successful business - you definitely can! And I'm going to show you how :)

124: Find Your Niche and Unlock Your Unique Path to Success

When it comes to learning or achieving anything new in life, the process is always so much easier and quicker when you follow in the footsteps of someone who has done it before you, rather than trying to figure it all out for yourself. Success leaves clues, and the achievements of others before you can be the shortcuts to your own success. But it’s also so important to find out what your own version of success is, what John Lee Dumas - of the amazing Entrepreneurs on Fire podcast - likes to call, your “zone of fire”. Since 2012 John has been producing a daily podcast where he has now interviewed over 3,000 of the most incredible entrepreneurs such as Amy Porterfield, Lewis Howes, Marie Forleo, Tim Ferris, Ramit Sethi, Neil Patel, Barbara Corcoran and Pat Flynn to name a few. That was his zone of fire. Committing to doing that podcast every day not only helped John build a huge multi-million dollar business, it also gave him insight into the roadmap that all these entrepreneurs seem to have in common when it comes to creating success.  So in this episode John and I talk about: How he took 10 years of knowledge and 3,000 conversations with amazing entrepreneurs and turned them into 17 steps for success for his upcoming book, The Common Path To Uncommon Success. How John started out as an officer in the U.S. Army and then spent 6 years switching careers and looking for his zone of genius. Why making a commitment to creating a daily podcast changed his life. Finding your “big” idea that aligns with your unique zone of fire. Overcoming impostor syndrome and committing to your ideas. Why John has shared his monthly income reports since day one. Why it’s so important to get clear on what success looks like for you and how John runs his business in alignment with the kind of lifestyle he wants to live. The biggest lie that many experts share. You can pre-order John’s book, The Common Path To Uncommon Success right here But if you’d love to get your hands on a free copy, we’ve got 10 copies to give away!  Simply take a photo or screenshot of you listening to this episode of She Means Business, post it to Instagram Stories, share why you loved it and tag us @femaleentrepreneurassociation to be in with a chance of winning a copy!

120: Creating Revenue Streams That Actually Work

Looking around at successful 6, 7, even 8 figure entrepreneurs, it’s difficult not to feel stuck if you’re still not seeing the kind of income you’d like from your business or revenue stream.  But speaking from my experience, it takes time, patience and perseverance to make money from any idea or business, no matter what it is.  When I started out, I just had a dream and a desire to help other people, but I had no clue how I was going to make it happen or make money from it!  I just knew that if I built an audience of people who loved what my message was about, I would be able to find a way to make money from it. So over the years I tried 12 different revenue streams to see what worked for me!  7 of them didn’t work out very well but 5 of them have made millions and allowed me to build a multiple 7-figure business! So many entrepreneurs fail simply because they give up if their first revenue stream doesn’t make money within a few months and I don’t want that to be you! So in this episode I share: How I came up with the idea for FEA and what I focused on when I got started. The first things I tried that made money in FEA (and why I didn’t really want to do some of them again!). How I created passive income for the first time ever with a simple digital product.  The revenue stream that helped me break through my money mindset blocks (and gave me the opportunity to work with Amy Porterfield, Lewis Howes, James Wedmore and more!).  How I finally found the perfect revenue stream (that has made millions over the past few years!). My top 5 favourite revenue streams out of the 12 I have tried and why they have worked so well for me. The best insights I’ve learned over 10 years of growing FEA about what it takes to create revenue streams that actually work. I hope this episode sparks loads of ideas and inspiration and if you have a question you’d love me to answer or a challenge you’re facing in your business, drop a comment below or send us a DM on Instagram and I’ll try to make a future episode to answer you directly! And if you would love to understand what type of entrepreneur you are and discover the kind of business game plan that best suits your personality, I’ve got you covered with this fun quiz. 119: Turn Your Creative Talents Into A Successful Business

Building a successful business or turning any dream into reality is never an easy feat.  In fact, we all have to face challenges, rejections and failures on the way to making it happen. It’s all part of the process.  So many of us just hold back, waiting for everything to fall into place, for someone to give us our chance or for things to be perfect.  So Trey Anthony turned her talents into success by doing the exact opposite.  She took charge of her own destiny, invested in her own self, took imperfect action and turned her mess into her message! The results were amazing and it goes to show how far we can truly go when we give ourselves permission to dream big and just try.  In this episode Trey and I chat about: Trey’s story and how being typecast and rejected was the start of her success story. Why being authentic and speaking her truth is her super power. Why she repeatedly took imperfect action and invested in herself to make things happen. How she lives an intentional life and finds the courage to take action even when she’s terrified.  Her incredible grandmother becoming a rapper in her late 70s. The lowest point in her life and how that was the start of her new book, Black Girl In Love (With Herself).

When we get intentional about the way we want to feel, everything changes! And the best part is that you don’t have to wait to feel the way you want to, so in this episode I chat to you about: Why getting intentional about your feelings is a huge (and underrated) key to creating success. The realisation I had in 2011 that completely changed the way I lived my life (and the success I was experiencing). 4 simple but powerful steps to help you put this into practice, get unstuck and feel ready to allow abundance and success to flow into your life.  I’m also setting you a really fun challenge in this episode, so why not grab a friend (in real life or online!), have a watch party and take this challenge together? 117: How to Get off the Sidelines and Get in the Game

Before I started FEA, I used to sit there watching webinars as other entrepreneurs shared how they were building their successful businesses. Part of me used to think it was absurd and ridiculous.  I watched from the sidelines as these people achieved amazing things and created incredible success. All the while I had massive impostor syndrome around my ideas and dreams. I felt embarrassed to do anything about it. I kept playing small while watching all these other people play big.   A part of me felt so frustrated and broken because I wasn’t doing what I was supposed to be doing with my life.  And I know that so many of us feel this way… so many of us stand on the sidelines and watch others going for their dreams and making amazing things happen.  So in this episode I want to chat to you about; The massive money block that used to hold me back from creating financial success.  The shift we all need to make to create amazing success, abundance and joy. The steps I took to turn my dream of becoming a Hay House author into reality.  A visualisation exercise and powerful questions to help you get clear on how you need to uplevel to get to where you want to be.  Why not make a list of the people whose table you’d like to sit at and share it on Instagram! Make sure you tag me @iamcarriegreen and why not tag those people too! If you want more help and inspiration with starting your dream business and getting to where you want to be, check out my book, She Means Business!
