3 Ways to be Perfect

Send us a textPerfection is a topic I teach women about almost daily and is one of the most misunderstood terms in the gospel. Women often think the term perfect when used in the scriptures means to be without mistake. This then leads to them searching to crack the code of never making a mistake in order to live up to what God wants them to do. This thought process of trying to be without mistakes and show up perfectly or don’t show up at all leads to a lot of stress, overwhelm, hurt and heartache.Eventually feeling like you will never be good enough. This is NOT what God wants you to feel and certainly not what he meant when He said, “Be ye therefore perfect”. Imperfection is a part of our earthly experience. So what do the scriptures mean by “perfect?” This is exactly what this episode is about. Here are 3 ways to be perfect, according to scripture.Join the waitlist: Removing Roadblocks to Revelation Group Coachinghttps://www.nikiolsencoaching.com/rrr-waitlistYou might also enjoy these episodes from the Meaningful Minutes PodcastEpisode 87: The Natural Man: The Enemy to Your Mental Healthhttps://www.nikiolsencoaching.com/blog/87Episode 75. The Truth About Suicide and the Gospel

Send us a textThis week’s topic is an often taboo subject in the church and around the world. But it is one that is near and dear to my heart. About 6 years ago, I had my first loss to suicide that was close to me. My coworker died by suicide and it was a devastating situation all around. Since that time, due to the location of where I work, suicide intervention has become a daily part of my work. I have taken on work in my community to decrease the loss to suicide by becoming an intervention trainer where I teach classes to others on how to help and intervene. I also run our counties suicide prevention coalition. I am passionate about this subject and couldn’t miss the opportunity to bring awareness to the subject this month as I am addressing mental health through the lens of the gospel. If you or someone you love needs help right away, use the national mental health crisis line by dialing 988 on your phone to be connected to a trained therapist in your area 24 hours a day 7 days a week. National Mental Health Crisis Lifeline: Dial 988Check out the Connection Coursehttps://www.nikiolsencoaching.com/connection-courseArticles of interestUnderstanding Suicide: Warning Signs and PreventionBy Kenichi Shimokawa, PhD LDS Family Services, Japan officeThe Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints resources on SuicideYou might also enjoy these episodes from the Meaningful Minutes PodcastEpisode 95: The Gospel and Your Mental Healthhttps://www.nikiolsencoaching.com/blog/95Episode 87: The Natural Man: The Enemy to Your Mental Healthhttps://www.nikiolsencoaching.com/blog/87Check out what other resources are available from Nikihttps://www.nikiolsencoaching.comFollow Niki on social media for more free contenthttps://www.instagram.com/nikiolsencoaching/Click the link for more informaiton on the FREE Virtual Relief Society Fireside and bulk discount on the Meaningful Prayer Journals for your Ward Sisters Christmas or Birthday gifts.https://ldsmentalhealthco.myshopify.com/products/preorder-meaningful-prayer-journal?variant=42314107814077

A look at Depression and Anxiety Through the Lens of the Gospel

Send us a textIn my therapy practice and in my coaching business, I use a modality called mind body bridging. One of the things I love about teaching the skills from this modality is how seamlessly it translates into gospel terms. So today I want to show you how I use the terms in this modality to explain symptoms of depression and anxiety and look at them through the lens of the gospel.PLEASE KEEP IN MIND AS YOU LISTEN: As we dive into specific diagnosis and talking about them, this is not considered therapy and is just informational.
