The Movie "Everything Everywhere All At Once" - The Simultaneity of Time with David Hoffmeister - Renovatio Residential Movie RetreatSo, simultaneous time as opposed to linear time, what does it mean? It seems to be an oxymoron and a contradiction in terms. Simultaneous time is entirely different from linear time. This movie will help us move toward the experience of simultaneous time or the present moment. You have made up names for everything you see. Each one becomes a separate entity identified by its name. By this, you carve it out of the unity. You designate its unique attributes and set it off from other things by emphasizing the space surrounding it. You see something where nothing is and see nothing where there is unity, a space between all things and you. When you feel afraid, it's the ego's fear of wholeness. You've become accustomed to pieces and parts, naming little things and adapting; you feel like the pieces and the elements, and the separation is natural. But the threat to this fragmented perception is wholeness. It is oneness. The Movie "Free Guy" The Hero's Journey with David Hoffmeister - Renovatio Residential Movie RetreatSo we're going for a movie tonight that follows the hero's journey. Typically in the projected world, we have heroes and villains, and the heroes are supposed to be succeeding and saving the day, and the villains are always doing bad things and so forth. Underneath is the stratification that says that heroes are different from villains. The heroes are the good ones, and the villains are the bad ones. What Jesus wants us to do is to be able to look on the world and see everything in the world as wholly the same. "Make this year different by making it all the same." He's saying that to see the world as all the same; you have to forgive the world because to the Holy Spirit, the world is neutral. So there aren't good bodies and bad bodies. There aren't hero bodies and villain bodies. There aren't those who are saving the day and those trying to destroy the day. The Holy Spirit sees the body as neutral because God didn't make the body. So the Holy Spirit sees its insignificance. And you might say that as you go deeper and deeper and deeper into spirituality, the one thing that will become more clear in your mind is the insignificance of the body. The Movie "X Men Days of Future Past" - Time and Space Are the Same Error with David Hoffmeister - Renovatio Residential Movie RetreatJesus says in the course that time and space are the same error. We can think of time and space as perception, as subjectivity. Each person perceives the cosmos, their body, and other people from the point of view of a private mind with private thoughts. And so everybody sees a private world which is entirely subjective, derived from what you believe. What you prefer to believe is the world that you see. And so, from a human perspective, people would say, Well, that is neat that there are seven billion different perspectives. Still, it's just a private world, and what you perceive is a pictorial representation of your consciousness. So our perception of time is very relative, which most of us can relate to because sometimes, when we are happy for no earthly reason, we lose track of time. You cannot wake yourself means the personality self doesn't have a contribution to make. The only contribution you have to make is your willingness in your mind. When your little willingness joins with that capability for healing, healing is ignited. It's a dismantling of the self-concept, the image you believe you are, and the image you think the world is. Some of you may say it's quite a big thing to let go of this personality, including letting go of your belief in external wars, famine, external countries, and politicians. You have to let go of your belief in external stars, quasars, and black holes, and you have to start to realize, Oh my gosh, I'm the dreamer of this dream, and there's nothing outside of me. There's nothing that can hurt me and nothing that can harm me. To go through this dismantling, all you have to do is follow the guidance of Jesus and the Holy Spirit. It's straightforward.
