We actually have to forgive and that's the central teaching of Jesus as well as remembering your Creator. The role of teachers seems to be different from the role of students. But if you go deep enough into what Jesus is teaching, he's saying; The teacher and the student are the same. They're always on the same level. So we're always teaching, and we're always learning. And what Jesus is trying to get us to realize is that we don't necessarily teach with our words and actions alone, but we lead with our attitude, and above all, we teach continuously with our thoughts. Thoughts moving through our awareness teach the universe what it is and who we are. So if somebody asks you, what do you think about that? You could think right away, what do I teach about that? What am I teaching my mind about myself? I am now born again! Some Christians call this a conversion experience. Sometimes they will say, Do you remember the moment you were saved? But it's a glimpse. Salvation goes deeper than professing Jesus Christ as Lord in Word; you must purge every aspect of the ego or the devil. Every spot of Satan has to be seen for its nothingness to be saved. So it's not just professing a few words but devoting your life to walking with the Spirit in everything. What a beautiful decision when you have a vast glimpse of the glory of God's love and say, I'm going to follow you. Movie 'The Most Reluctant Convert' - Movie Workshop with David HoffmeisterThis movie uses wit and humor, and it uses great thinkers and great poets. So many great thinkers were experts at rationality and logic who didn't realize that the rationality they were applying to this world was as if the world was real and as if the world had some meaning in it. But when you use rationality to meaninglessness, it goes nowhere. Some of us have tried. We've tried to be rational creatures in an insane world. And, at times, wondered; This is ridiculous. How am I ever going to find meaning in such an insane world? So Jesus has helped us out. He tells us this world is backward and upside down. And he tells us that we will never find our true identity in this world. A veil is drawn over the truth to blind us from the truth and he's permitting us to drop it. Drop trying to find meaning and understanding in the world. The kingdom of heaven is within you, and he was pointing us toward prayer and meditation. Spirit of God, show me the truth. Everything I perceive with my five senses has not taken me to the truth, but there is a way; there must be a way because you said knock, and the door shall be opened. The movie "God's Not Dead 4" - We the People with David Hoffmeister - A Weekly Online Movie WorkshopIn the past 35 years, I've heard two words put together. And the two words are. My truth. So what's that even mean - my truth? When I would inquire, they say, Well, you've got your truth, but I've got my truth. And then when you start to pray together about guidance, they would say to me, David, that's your Holy Spirit's guidance. But here's my Holy Spirit's guidance, even though the source of the guidance is supposed to be the same. So, Jesus addressed this, saying, If two people pray together and are genuinely tuned, they will hear the same thing simultaneously! God is one, and so is guidance. And if you constantly are having disagreements about guidance, there's only one reason; the ego is involved. Because if you're genuinely attuned, you will hear the same guidance simultaneously. And I can testify to this because I've lived in community for over 20 years. So we have to blow past your truth and my truth and your guidance and my guidance. Movie 'God's Not Dead 3' - A Light In Darkness with David Hoffmeister - A Weekly Movie WorkshopMost of us have grown up thinking of ourselves as human beings, as persons with parents, families, countries, and languages, with sometimes different jobs or careers. Usually, we do not think of ourselves as miracle workers. That seems way beyond what is expected in this world. But what Jesus was teaching us when he said, I am the light of the world, is that we're all the light. It's hard, though, to identify with being the light of the world until we've become pretty consistent miracle workers. But then, suddenly, we start to open our minds up to this light-of-the-world thing. Our personality self is not the light of the world. We must learn how to let our minds be used in Miracle work. And that's why Jesus gave us A Course in Miracles. He tells us it's a practical course, not a course in the play of ideas. He does not want us to memorize the theology and do workshops our whole Earth life.
