Coming into true honesty - Being aligned with the source in what I think, say, and do.We want to live an honest life and feel we're lined up with our source because our source is love, happiness, joy, and peace. That's really in our hearts. That's what we're praying for. We want to have a happy, joyful life. And to stay aligned with the source, we must accept ourselves as God created us. The ego made the body; the ego made the personality and the perceptual world of time and space. It made the stars and the planets and the mountains and the trees. The ego projected a world meant to be a hiding place, as Jesus says in the Course of place, where God could enter not. The world was made as a veil to cover our true identity as pure love. The world was made as a distracting device to distract us from going within and finding the love within our hearts. And the world was made as a place of hatred and sorrow, and many of us have gone through a lot of experiences that were pretty difficult, pretty dark experiences, but Jesus is saying not to worry. You just had a misperception, and I will help you correct your perception. And then you'll see things truly and know that you were mistaken about the world. Rising into Light with David Hoffmeister, Frances Xu and Lisa Fair live at La Casa de Milagros - Christian MysticismDo you choose to join the crucifixion, or do you decide to join the resurrection? It's a question that Jesus poses directly to us today. Which one do you choose to join? The next question is, do you decide to stay imprisoned? Or do you prefer to ascend to your father like rising to the light? These two are the same question, and the answer is the same. Choose to believe in the resurrection because the resurrection has already been accomplished. It has been accomplished in you. It was not accomplished out there 2000 years ago on the cross. The resurrection lives in you. If I choose to live out the crucifixion mentality as if I'm crucified all day long, everybody else is crucified with me, but I can rise knowing that the resurrection is right here, right now. I can choose to exercise it and decide to live it. There is no excuse anymore to say I have to wait to forgive. I can exercise my willpower; the forgiven perspective is already here. Always Remember What The Purpose Is - Movie Workshop with David HoffmeisterThe ego tries to use all differences to convince your mind, which is asleep, that it's different from all the other minds. The ego always emphasizes differences and the Holy Spirit always says, No, you're the perfect Christ. You're the perfect child of God. You always have been, and you always will be. You're created as perfect love. So there's nothing you can do to change that and the innocence that you are. You may dream that you're not worthy, but truly you are. You may dream that you're not enough. But you're the Christ, and the Christ is everything. So, whatever seems to be happening in the dream is not reality, whereas the light of Christ is real. So quite simply, we might say that the only purpose in this world that is worthy of your mind is forgiveness or releasing illusions from your mind so that you can see with the vision of Christ. Spiritual vision is pure light. So when you forgive most sincerely, you become aware of the one light, God's light, and Christ's. We've all read many self-help books, and most of us probably have a whole library of self-help books, but actually, the Course is not about self-help. It's saying, the self that God created doesn't need any help. There's a little child in you, the Christ child, who wants to go home and needs to be quiet for a while. Now that's the kind of Self-help that draws you into the stillness and helps you rest your mind from all the foolish pursuits you've given yourself over to. That's trying to loosen from the roles you've learned where you believe your worth is tied to achieving something in the world or being good at something. The role of forgiveness is letting go of all the concepts and emptying your mind, and it's not something that you can attain in the world. You don't get a forgiveness certificate. Peace of mind comes to you, but you don't get any recognition from the world of images. So you go inside, and you can feel the joy of connecting with your Creator and the joy of that expansive love. It's a beautiful humbleness, too, because it's a humbleness of inner rest. But when we think of the simplicity of the present moment, think of the love and joy of God at this moment. And when we start to serve the moment by giving ourselves over to be childlike, playful, loving, joyful, and having Glee, that is a very different way of thinking.
