From Jesus in ACIM WB lesson 24: “In no situation that arises do you realize the outcome that would make you happy. Therefore, you have no guide to appropriate action, and no way of judging the result. What you do is determined by your perception of the situation, and that perception is wrong. It is inevitable, then, that you will not serve your own best interests. Yet they are your only goal in any situation which is correctly perceived. Otherwise, you will not recognize what they are. If you realized that you do not perceive your own best interests, you could be taught what they are. But in the presence of your conviction that you do know what they are, you cannot learn. The idea for today is a step toward opening your mind so that learning can begin. W-24.1:1-2:3

This profound amnesia can lead to a world where we seek certain characters, like Lego characters, to become our saviors.Christianity has been criticized for holding onto the belief in Jesus as a personal Lord and Savior, even though he lived 2,000 years ago. Jesus tells us that all these images projected from the ego are effects of an unreal cause and that the real cause is Christ, an idea in God's mind.In the spiritual realm, everything is light extending light, love extending love extending love, and eternity extending eternity. There is no beginning or end to creation, nor has eternity.To experience the depth of today's movie, we need to read A Course in Miracles' section called "The Hero of the Dream," which discusses the complex nature of dualistic concepts and the difficulty in relationships. This was celebrated with music and talk in a spontaneously arranged Chautauqua. The 'Jackson 3' plays new songs composed in collaboration between Jackson, Erik, and Bernd. The new book, Jesus, The Gospel of Love, is sold worldwide, which for some has been fully putting one's heart into something and not looking back to the past for direction.David and Lisa share the story of the community, which involves practicing miracles, mind training, and forgiveness, and Lisa reveals that she has been busy writing her memoirs. Movie Community Chautauqua - Commentary by David Hoffmeister, December 20, 2023The complexity of life can lead to stress, depression, and overwhelm. The core problem is a belief in duality, which is the diversity itself. Jesus shows us that those who believe in the ego have a split mind, with part of the mind remembering the truth and part forgotten. This intense split causes the opposites to arise and are accepted as just the way things are. The movie lays bare all the complexities, contradictions, and dualities, even the acceptable ones. It goes beyond romance movies, which often attract opposites, and war movies, where opposites clash. Jesus tells us that special love and hatred will not help us remember the kingdom of heaven because love has no opposite. To approach love, we must face this split in the mind and face the fearful emotions of investing in opposites.The movie also highlights the intensity of nothing being kept hidden, with characters like Vikram and Asad coming up and wanting anything kept hidden to be brought up into full awareness. This theme is similar to the role of the hero in hero movies, who try to right wrongs or solve problems in society or relationships.Dealing with complexity can lead to stress, depression, and overwhelm. The mystical mind training program, which combines the teachings of the Course and Miracles into an audio-visual medium, has helped transfer the training. But the demonstration and action of these teachings are crucial, as they point to the moment of release and the kingdom of heaven.Jesus said, "The kingdom of heaven is at hand," and we must continue proclaiming this good news of innocence. In Australia, they say, "No worries, mate," which is another version of the kingdom of heaven. This is not a denial but a more profound sense of happiness and joy. It unites us with the Holy Spirit, Jesus, and the Creator, focusing on our heart's desire to remember God. The movie takes place in Kenya's slums, highlighting the importance of prayer in achieving spiritual growth.Charles must pray through this world and receive and follow inner messages. Spiritual awakening often doesn't emphasize prayer, listening, and guidance. To fully wake up from a dream, one must grasp the power of prayer and the power of the mind. They must believe in guidance, whether it's an inner voice or intuitions and feelings. They must follow the guidance, which leads to joy, presence, laughter, and giggles. The gifts of prayer, listening, and following come from a deep connection with God and the power of the mind.
