In this episode, Todd talks with Ryan McKenna about how he started by cultivating relationships to build his $1 billion real estate portfolio mainly through syndication. Ryan McKenna, founder of McKenna Capital is a real estate syndicator active in the multifamily apartment space and is a current investor in 40+ real estate syndications, totaling 10,000+ units across the United States with a portfolio value over $1 billion. Real estate investing has always been a passion of his as he's fascinated by the concept of creating passive income to achieve financial freedom and wants to help others do the same. At McKenna Capital, Ryan oversees all due diligence/acquisitions, capital raising efforts, investor relations and asset management for his firm. Ryan also enjoys investing into other alternative niches, and as a member of IrishAngels, he's an active angel investor in many early-stage ventures. Ryan earned his MBA at the University of Notre Dame's Mendoza College of Business and is a former student-athlete of Arizona State University, having played baseball for the Sun Devils (2001-2004) and graduating Magna Cum Laude, with a Bachelor's Degree in Business & Communications. 3 Pillars 1. In this episode, Todd talks with Bill Zahller and Richard Coyne about how they met, developed a partnership, and began investing in multifamily properties with 100+ units. Bill and Richard are the co-founders of Park Capital Partners, which brings together investors to acquire apartment complexes. Their goals are to deliver solid returns to our investors while making our apartment complexes better places to live for their residents via the execution of a value-add strategy. Bill resides in Asheville, NC and is a Multifamily Real Estate Investor and Syndicator with 14 years involvement in real estate investment. He works with accredited investors and professionals who are interested in real estate investment, diversification, and financial freedom. He has been flying since high school. Bill is also the founder of the Asheville Multifamily Investor Club and co-host of the Carolina Real Estate Investors Association Multifamily Group. Richard is an active Real Estate Syndicator and Real Estate Investor. Richard formed JCLange and Company, LLC in 2016 to invest in Real Estate. He lives in Maggie Valley, NC, and is a retired software executive with more than 30 years of experience. Richard holds a project management professional (PMP) and leverages that discipline in apartment analysis, investing, and operations. Richard also serves in a variety of volunteer roles. 3 Pillars 1.
