Arete Coach Podcast 1034 - Don Myers - "Power of Referrals""
This is episode 1034 of the Arete Coach Podcast with host Severin Sorensen and his guest Don Myers.
In this episode, Don Myers talks about his journey as an executive coach and Vistage Master Chair, and what he has learned as the "Power of Referrals" and building a referral culture. Don is an Executive Coach, CEO Coach, Leadership Strategist, and Master Chair, and Vistage Chair for over 19 years. He has 9 Chair Performance Awards for Chair Excellence. Don has a bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Indiana University Bloomington and an MBA in Finance from the Keller Graduate School of Management. Prior to Vistage Chairing, Don was a Sr VP with a REIT called CWS Communities Trust that developed and managed home communities throughout the US. Prior to this experience, Don was VP of Security Capital Group that helped other real estate companies raise capital and form other real estate-related REITS (like Carr America and Prologis). Don’s earliest business role was in Marketing for IBM where he served for 8 years in their business development arena selling hardware and software solutions for hospitals and medical centers. The part of Don’s formative years that I find so interesting is his 3 years in the US Navy as a Lieutenant JG and a “Main Engines Officer” on the USS Newport News (a heavy cruiser) and USS America (Aircraft Carrier). He also completed two tours in Vietnam. So there is much wisdom and experience to explore here in terms of Don’s background.
