A Thousand Natural Shocks With Gabe S. Dunn
Gabe Dunn | Diamond MPrint Productions
After years of attempting to "girlboss" his way out of systemic class divide, Gabriel Shane Dunn, now a trans man and veteran podcaster, relaunches his show, “Bad With Money,” with a furious, funny, and deeply personal exploration of surviving our capitalist hellscape. Ditching conventional finance advice, “A Thousand Natural Shocks,” is a companion show to Gabe’s thriving newsletter of the same name. This isn't just about money; it's about breaking free from the individualistic lies and fighting for collective liberation. Capitalism is killing us. The police state is killing us. Fascism is killing us. But we can no longer feel helpless. We can resist.Send a question or voice memo to GabeIsBadWithMoney@gmail.com.

Financial Feminism: HerFirst100K's Tori Dunlap, Akilah Hughes
Financial feminism! What is it? Does it exist? Can it exist? Why did Cara Delevingne wear that stupid "peg the patriarchy" shirt to the Met Gala? This week on the Bad With Money Season 8 finale, Gaby talks to HerFirst100K's Tori Dunlap, a marketing genius, investing educator, controversial Tiktoker, host of the podcast "Financial Feminist," and the woman behind "fighting the patriarchy by making women rich." Then Gaby breaks down why "financial feminism" feels a little icky with comedian and long-time comrade in the field of Internet feminism Akilah Hughes. Thank you for listening all season long! We'll be back with Season 9 in a few weeks!
Trigger warning: Mentions of sexual assault in the opening monologue.

Cancel Culture Takes Your Money (GlamDemon2004 and Emily Vanderwerff)
Cancel culture is real. It happens on Twitter and it makes money off of us. This week's introduction is a passionate essay Gaby has been stewing on for a long time. Then, Gaby interviews reporter Emily Vanderwerff about the tragic story of trans woman Isabel Fall who was bullied into a mental hospital because of a bad faith reading of a sci-fi story she wrote. They also discuss the difference between "cancellation" from within your community vs outside your community and the difference between prominent people being attacked or criticized versus private citizens experiencing the same. How much money is social media making off of us coming for each other? And lastly, Tiktok's Serena Shahidi aka GlamDemon2004 chats making money from her cancellation and how Gen Z is turning bullying into cash. (That's right. Your hate engagement makes that person money.) This episode includes transphobia, suicide, and sexual assault. Please take care while listening.
