Weston A. Price Foundation w/ Hilda Labrada Gore
The Weston A. Price Foundation's Wise Traditions podcast is for those who seek optimal health based on traditional wisdom. We believe that vibrant health cannot be cultivated in a lab, engineered through modern technology or found through "improving" nature. On the contrary, "life in all its fullness is mother nature obeyed," as Dr. Weston Price put it. We can learn from healthy societies of the past how to live healthier lives now.
The Foundation's podcast is an invitation to follow traditional food and health ways to live our best lives. Our host and producer, Hilda Labrada Gore, interviews experts on a wide variety of topics—ranging from nutrient-dense foods to improving mental health to homesteading to detoxing to healing emotional trauma to the power of sunshine and mitigating EMFs. Every episode offers the listener a way to heal, grow and live a more vibrant and happy life.

358: Mental Health: Anxiety
Racing thoughts? Chronic stress? Physical dis-ease? Most of us turn to distractions to avoid the pain and discomfort of anxiety and stressors. What if we could learn to embrace our emotions and see them as part of the healing journey? Greg Schmaus is a Holistic Health Practitioner with an expertise in healing the mind. His protocols include nutrition, movement, meditation and a number of lifestyle practices. Today, Greg emphasizes the importance of allowing ourselves to actually experience our emotions instead of tamping them down. Greg talks about how we can train the mind, almost as we would train a puppy, and learn to sit with it and grow from it. He also opens up and shares his own story and how he's been able to address his own mental health struggles and to help many others. 355: Lessons from (Ab)original People
There is a wisdom in ancient health and lifestyle traditions that has unfortunately been cast aside, leading to deterioration in the overall wellbeing of many aboriginal communities. Dr. Kama Mico, Co-founder of Under the Shade, has been exploring root causes of health crises in a number of indigenous people groups. Today, Kama shares what she's witnessed first-hand among the indigenous people of Elcho Island -- an embracing of overly-processed, "modern" food ways that has made them sicker. Many of us all over the world have also adopted these changes to our detriment. Kama reminds us that we can all return to more natural dietary choices -- eating food from nature, instead of food from factories, for example -- to reclaim our health and vitality. And she shares stories and lessons learned from the (ab)original peoples that can help us live our most vibrant lives today, wherever we are. Our guests are Clint Ballard of Milk and Honey Hill Farm, Greg and Kinsey Bradford of Bradford Valley Farm, Barbara Hutchinson, a farm hand at The Farm at Barefoot Bend, and David and Micah Rice, the owners of The Bramble Market. We discuss a number of topics including: why local food matters, what got these farmers farming in the first place, the highs and lows of farm life, the benefits and challenges of producing raw milk and the satisfaction that comes from connecting with your community, and, yes, knowing your farmer.

353. Nourish The Skin. Ditch The Toxins.
Sulfates in shampoo. Aluminum in deodorant. Synthetic fragrances in skincare and household products. Emilie Toups, of Toups and Co Organics, today explains what to watch out for on the products we put on (and around) our bodies. She covers how the aforementioned chemicals can disrupt our hormone function and overall health. She explains how her journey to heal her daughter's eczema compelled her to research toxins. And she offers insights on simple swaps like fragrance-free laundry detergent in place of those with artificial "springtime" fragrance, tallow or emu oil instead of lotion, and how we might even ditch our shampoo products altogether. 351: Dismantling The Narrative
The current narrative insists that we must rely on experts to preserve good health. Robert F. Kennedy Jr. explains today that our health agencies, media, and Anthony Fauci have other interests at heart. Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is the Head of the Children's Health Defense and a staunch advocate for health and medical freedom. Today, he highlights portions of his New York Times bestselling book "The Real Anthony Fauci." He reveals facts that indicate that we're unhealthier now, under Fauci's leadership, than we were decades prior to it. He exposes how Fauci and public health agencies have aligned with pharmaceutical companies at the expense of public health. And he emphasizes that true science invites questions and debate. 350: The 5G and COVID-19 Connection
Is there evidence to suggest a relationship between COVID-19 and exposure to wireless radiation, including 5G? Yes. Beverly Rubik, and her colleague Robert Brown, recently published a study in a peer-reviewed journal that concludes that non-native radiation is compromising our health and leading to symptoms that mirror those of COVID-19. Today, Beverly talks about the correlation between COVID and 5G rollout when you look at maps of the two. She describes symptoms—hypercoagulation, hypoxia, headaches, fatigue, memory problems, oxidative stress, immune system disruption, heart arrhythmia, and more—that indicate Covid-19 and/or radiation poisoning. Beverly warns about more 5G being rolled out in January 2022. And lastly, she shares her own experiences with wireless radiation along with simple steps to protect ourselves from additional exposure. See the study on the NIH website here. Check out Beverly's sites: brubik.com and frontiersciences.org Visit the Weston A. Price Foundation website. Follow us on Instagram, Telegram, and MeWe. An energy "traffic jam" in the body is a place where we're stuck, physically or emotionally. Today, she explains how our body's energetic biofield can have areas of distortion or resistance because of memories or traumas. She describes how we can re-tune our bodies to get back into "harmony" with ourselves, so to speak. And she covers protocols that help us heal – from the use of tuning forks to breath work, connection with nature, laughter, and even singing.
