Between his insult of a black journalist and his strange racial attack on Vice President Kamala Harris, Trump’s visit to the National Association of Black Journalists didn’t go so well. From accusing Harris of “turning black” and accusing immigrants of taking away “black jobs” and then not being able to say that black jobs are any different from other jobs, Trump found himself in a real pickle. We’ll talk politics and we will bring in former federal prosecutor, now defense attorney, David Katz to look at all things legal.

With polls indicating a tight presidential race, the GOP is thinking strategy after election day. Some Trump election deniers are now in positions of power as election officials. They are part of a vote certification refusal movement. If valid elections are denied certification, it could cause confusion and chaos across the country. We’ll talk politics with our favorite Britisher, journalist Anthony Davis. The conversation continues with political analyst and presidential historian John Rothmann. We’l turn to the environment with our eco- journalist Belinda Waymouth. She’ll share details about how London is doing something interesting to cut vehicle emissions and how designers are coming up with new eco-fabrics.

Girls Vs Boys? With women’s reproductive health on the line, perhaps it’s no surprise that the latest presidential polls are highlighting a widening gender gap. A recent New York Times/Siena College poll shows Harris with a 14-point lead over Trump among likely female voters (55% to 41%). Trump is attracting male voters. He has a 17-point lead among men (56% to 39%). The Quinnipiac, CNN and NPR polls all indicate the gender gap to varying degrees. We welcome Pulitzer Prize winning author and investigative journalist David Cay Johnston to the show to discuss politics. It’s Tech Tuesday! Trump could be in real trouble with the presidential race now shifting from President Biden to Vice President Kamala Harris. Trump’s own supporters are saying they see this as a real challenge. Some tell Politico they even think it’s possible that “women who are soft Trump backers will shift away from him.” It seems like Republicans are running scared. They are trying to keep the Biden/Harris money away from Harris and have even filed Impeachment papers against her in Congress. “People see the walls closing in,” that’s what one senior Democrat told CNN. The network is reporting that more than two dozen sources familiar with life inside the West Wing say there is widespread acceptance that President Biden remaining in the race is untenable. Trump took the stage last night at the RNC and while his speech was supposed to be unifying, he slipped back into his dividing rhetoric, talking about stolen elections and badmouthing President Biden. It was not a speech to bring the country together. The night brought a rare Melania sighting. She stood and waved but broke with tradition by opting out of speaking in support of her husband.
