Luigi’s Grandmother’s Trust Has a Surprise 12/13/24
It appears Grandma Mangione has some interesting final wishes. Mary Mangione died a year ago and there are some surprising details in her will. Her fortune is said to be worth at least $30 million and possibly as much as 100 million. Her grandson Luigi Is suspected of murdering United Health, CEO Brian Thompson. This might be the first of Trump‘s campaign promises to go down in flames. The president-elect now says it might be too hard to lower the price of groceries. We welcome Congressman Steve Cohen to the show. His district in Tennessee includes Memphis. We’ll talk with him about the challenges this incoming administration will likely pose. No Friday is complete without a trip to Florida to see what’s going on with our friends in the South. Mark may not be here today but we’re still on machete, meth and gator watch. Saying America was built on possibilities and second chances, President Biden is commuting sentences for about 1,500 people, with more likely to come. Most were released from prison during the pandemic and switched to home confinement. He also pardoned almost 40 nonviolent criminals. The President says he will be reviewing more clemency petitions in the coming weeks. We welcome former federal prosecutor, now defense attorney, David Katz to the show to talk about the significance of the presidents display of mercy.
