1281 – Set Goals for Your Lifestyle with Sabrina Runbeck
In this episode of the Thoughtful Entrepreneur, your host Josh Elledge speaks with Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician Assistant, Bestselling Author, and Performance Productivity Consultant, Sabrina Runbeck.
Sabrina explains her beliefs on how we have more leadership and decision making issues than an issue with burnout. Comparisons are often made within business as a way to measure performance in a specific field. However, these comparisons can be detrimental to business as the circumstances between one business and another are not equal standards. Mental clarity can help with becoming immune to the feelings of burnout as well as managing expectations better.
Sabrina explains that throughout consulting, some individuals realize their expectations are what they truly want, while others realize it was a skewed idea of what they want. Hypervigilance is a common characteristic among high achievers and it can lead to a disassociation when things are slowed down. Sabrina explains that individuals need an unbiased source to speak to about information and that is what she is for her clients. She explains that the way she works with clients is in two main ways which are a come and go basis or a more structured basis. To get into contact with Sabrina, you can go to her website and get a consultation.
Key Notes:
The backstory to Sabrina
Why comparisons lead to failure
Why mental fitness builds mental immunity
