Debora L. Smith spent more than two decades in marketing and communications before she merged that expertise with the experience she gained raising a son with autism spectrum disorder. Nearly six years ago she founded Autism Resource Mom—a nonprofit organization that provides support, guidance and hope to families of individuals with autism spectrum disorder. Debora has been actively involved with the autism community in Orange County, CA, for two decades, serving in various positions.  If she’s not at a conference picking up new skills, she’s sharing what she’s learned through speaking engagements and her own instructive workshops. Passionate about helping individuals with challenging behaviors, she has studied and received Tier 1 Training in the Collaborative Problem Solving Approach—and is in the process of becoming a “Certified THINK:KIDS Mentor.” Debora lives in Orange County, California, with her husband, Mike, and together they are learning to come to grips with being empty-nesters. Stuart Duncan is the creator of AutCraft, the first Minecraft server for children with autism and their families. In 2013, Stuart "AutismFather" Duncan created AutCraft, a virtual community that empowers young autistic people around the world to feel self-confident and proud of who they are. Matt Fuller (Director) began his career in the film business at Sony assisting on feature films and later transitioned to story development at MBST Entertainment, as a Creative Executive. While there, Fuller quickly became the Director of Film and Television Development, supervising the development and production of Warner Bros.’s ARTHUR (Russell Brand) and Relativities’ LIMITLESS (Bradley Cooper). Helen Tager-Flusberg received her Bachelors in Science in Psychology from University College London, and her doctorate from Harvard University. Since 2001, Dr. Tager-Flusberg has been at Boston University, and currently holds the position of Professor of Psychological and Brain Sciences, and Director of the Center for Autism Research Excellence (CARE). Dr. Tager-Flusberg has conducted research on autism and other neurodevelopmental disorders, investigating developmental changes in language and social cognition in these populations using behavioral and brain imaging methodologies. Wendy Chung, M.D., Ph.D. is a clinical and molecular geneticist who is the Director of Clinical Research at SFARI at the Simons Foundation and is the Kennedy Family Professor of Pediatrics and Medicine. She received her B.A. in biochemistry and economics from Cornell University, her M.D. from Cornell University Medical College, and her Ph.D. from The Rockefeller University in genetics. Chung also leads the Simons VIP study characterizing genetic forms of autism (https://simonsvipconnect.org/) and the SPARK study of autism (SPARKforAutism.org) and has a TED talk entitled Autism— what we know (and what we don't know yet) that has over 2 million views. Additionally, she was the recipient of the American Academy of Pediatrics Young Investigator Award and the Medical Achievement Award from Bonei Olam. Additionally, Dr. Chung was the original plaintiff in the Supreme Court case that overturned the ability to patent genes and is a member of the the Institute of Medicine Committee on Genetic Testing.   All Autism Talk is sponsored by Autism Spectrum Therapies, Trellis Services and Learn It Systems.
