Despite being surrounded by crime, Charlie managed to drag himself out of that life and carve out a career in football. But it wasn’t without setbacks. He had his own stint in prison, which nearly ended his football career, if it weren’t for a lucky encounter with a guard who just happened to have played under Micky Adams. Fast forward to his time at Brighton, Charlie shares the chaos: starting a 40-man brawl, stealing Razor Ruddock’s car, the infamous D-baggings, and delivering one of the best impressions we’ve ever heard.
