Modern Rock also known as Bao, has over a decade of experience in the stock market and is well known as being a big time trader who has made millions day trading. He started off though focusing on consistency, small money daily, 200,400,500, etc… and as time went on he started to size more and more eventually making millions day trading smallcaps. Roland Wolf is someone I know from a while back before “B The Trader” show even started. I met Roland back in the 2017-2018 time frame when he started his stride in finding consistency. He was still new but was definitely a rising star in the long-bias trading realm. I was focused on the wrong outcome, goal, or dream, instead of focusing on the process and being open-minded. Have you ever tried trading as if you are a Scientist? Matti O joins me today or some of you might know him as Triforce Trader. We dive into his journey to his consistency and how he discovered and became focused on algorithmic trading also known as quant trading. This episode was very fun for me because I have no clue about this topic and yet I found myself very interested in it right away. Trading already is difficult because we need to find out what works, eliminate what doesn’t, deal with our emotions, discipline, and etc.. However with this style of day trading, swing trading, or just trading in general you can almost eliminate the emotional part. Phil has been on the show before on S3E19. Today he joins us to discuss the topic of eliminating bad habits; how do we identify bad habits and what we can do to stop them from coming up. The goal is not to eliminate them completely because we are human but to understand how to mitigate the risk by lowering the frequency. As a beginner day trader you must focus on reducing the amount of trading mistakes you make on a daily basis. Today I wanted to share with you the challenges I face sometimes in my day trading especially during moments of no setups. I have been doing well for the month of September 2020 of not placing boredom trades however I slipped today into trading a stock that was not part of my day trading playbook. This will happen, in fact, it happens to the best of us like Tim Grittani, Nate Michaud, Steven Dux, and many more. The difference is, they recognize it, and get right back on the horse and continue to move forward. Today I will recognize my mistake, forgive myself, and press forward with the mindset of improving from today. The stock market doesn’t care if I have had no setups or not, it will be happy to take my money the moment my discipline slips so I must continue to focus on process over profits and stay disciplined. I am at a part in my day trading career where I know what works, I am consistently profitable, and now I am working on growing my trading account through adding more size to my trades.
