This will help me understand the basics of it all. So here's the story. The world was a peaceful place. The genderless people went about their lives happily in their highly functioning and advanced society. They cared for their children that they procreated asexually. More than a century ago the slave masters wiped out almost all of the genderless ones and genetically modified the remaining few. They split them into halves. One was called male, the other female. The genderless, or the wholes, learned that the halves spent much of their days chasing each other to satisfy the urge to procreate. They sought to be whole. Yet never could become whole. For the halves were worn down by long working hours, worn down by depleted food, worn down by taxes, worn down in just about every possible way, and especially worn down by the communication difficulties between the male and female halves in their unobtainable pursuit to become whole. They were really more like thirds, and two-thirds do not make a whole. It was the perfect divide and conquer strategy of the slave masters. Split the wholes into halves so they'd be preoccupied with chasing each other. They toiled away their miserable lives chasing bodily urges and doing soul depleting work, never finding out who they really were. They would never gain enough free attention to look back at the slave masters, who by that point had integrated into society themselves posing as leaders and politicians, like in the movie They Live. But it was these few people, these halves and wholes, that became the seedling that grew into the great rebellion, the great war. It was the slave masters versus the wholes and halves. In time, the war would be won. The slave masters would get what was coming to them and then some. In the end, their species was permanently erradiced from existence. Every last one. A new paper has found that the #MeToo movement has caused a significant decline in the productivity of women academics because fewer are collaborating with their male colleagues. Using CV data to track collaborations between economists over six years around #MeToo (2015-2020), researcher Marina Gertsberg discovered that junior female academics started 0.7 fewer projects per year than before. 60% of this decline can be attributed to a decrease in collaborations with new male co-authors, which broadly correlates with a reduction in growth of the co-author network. Gertsberg attributes this fall to men unwilling to collaborate with women due to fears of accusations of sexual harassment. In fact, several surveys have found that men believe they are more vulnerable to false allegations of sexual harassment in a post-MeToo landscape, and are perhaps managing this perceived risk by reducing their exposure to women. #MeToo’s original goal was to improve workplace conditions for women by holding men accountable for sexual misconduct. And speaking of suffering what I want to talk about today is a film that's going to make a lot of whamen suffer called wifelike. Here's a brief breakdown of the film from streamable and I quote: "A grieving detective in the near-future hunts down criminals who trade artificial humans on the black market. In the fight to end AI exploitation, an underground resistance attempts to infiltrate him by sabotaging the programming of the artificial human assigned as his companion to behave like his late wife. She begins to question her reality as memories of a past life begin to surface in a world where nothing is as it seems." unquote. I wonder what the resistance will look like? probably a rag tag group of renegade overweight feminists called the manatee collective no doubt. Lifelife female androids are a fantasy for men and a horror film for women. The stepford wives explores that the fullest where there's a town full of men replacing their real lives with passable androids. Ending of the Stepford wives is more realistic where the main female character is also replaced by a femoid. Clearly in the future there will be no happy Cherry 2000 ending where men give up perfect sexy androids for real whamen. But women won't successfully ban them either. I think things will fall somewhere in the middle and that in the end men won't want a companionbot. Instead they will want a boinkbot for quickies and then shove it under their bed or something. As for Wifelike the film begins with a cheesy ad designed to piss off whamen. The owner of the wifelike company says how would you like to never go to bed lonely or mourn the loss of a loved one. His sloagan is upgrade your wife. Upgrade your life. A play on the whole happy wife, happy life thing. I really hope this isn't yet another film that devolves into a female fantasy that somehow the female androids will rise up against the programming that men have coded for them, join the female collective and punish men for trying to replace biological women with artificial ones. The reality when it comes will be very different. Neither side will be happy with the outcome. Men will see through the facade of the silicone to see there's nothing there and whamen will get less attention than ever. She says that women that report violence from men fear retaliation. As if men don't fear being hunted down the street for hitting a woman by the popo. As if women don't have battered whamen shelters to run to if they are hit. How about instead of justifying violence against either men or women as normal we make it unacceptable for both men and women to hit each other? Men aren't even allowed to have shelters to go to if they experience spousal abuse. The feminists saw to that back in the 1970s. Every time a men's shelter is setup it's always shut down. Not to mention that Erin Pizzey opened a shelter for men and women in the 1970s and found that about half the people being abused by their spouse physically were men and the other half were women. That violence was already pretty equally distributed between the sexes. But if that were to be made a reality then it wouldn't paint women in a positive light so feminist forced her to shut down.
