My Journey Through 100 Podcast Episodes (Interview by Caroline Dooner)

Episode 100: YAY! Today I am celebrating 100 podcast episodes of the Mind Body Musings Podcast. Can you believe it?! To celebrate, I wanted to do something special so I had Caroline Dooner come and join me, but instead of interviewing her, it's me that gets to be in the hot seat! Caroline does an amazing job interviewing me about what I've learned during the last 100 episodes, but she also dives deep with her questions, asking about my life philosophy, favourite dessert (of course) and so many other things. This definitely has to be one of my favourite episodes because of Caroline's unique collection of questions and how organic our conversation was. Enjoy! Show notes: How quickly I started podcasting after thinking about wanting to create a podcast How Matt Stone was my motivation for creating a podcast and Jimmy Moore was my biggest encourager How my podcast helped me on my own personal journey My favourite color My favourite dessert The advice I would give to 10-year-old Maddy and 18-year-old Maddy Why I wish 18-year-old me knew that I was going to be single for a long time If Moon is my real last name How I would flirt with the guys I liked as a youngster (hint: I used food) The hilarious videos Caroline makes of herself looking at the dating site, Hinge (watch HERE) How I want to feel in a year in regards to my body and food Whether or not I drink coffee My life philosophy narrowed down to a tweet (End result: "You are not your body. Eat/move according to intuition. #bodyfreedom #HAES #maddymoon") What I hope is said about me at my funeral someday The time period I would live in if I could pick any one Which animal I would like to have as a pet The one diet meal I can NEVER eat again The first thing I would do if I was the Supreme World Leader Not For Sale: an anti-sex trafficking organization you should definitely check out The one food I would eat for a year if I was stranded on a dessert island My current favourite song Connect with Caroline: Website Program Facebook [Tweet "I can't believe the #MindBodyMusings Podcast made it to 100 EPISODES! Mel Wells: Ending the War on Your Body by Being Flexible with Food and Movement

Episode 98: Mel Wells is a Hay House Author, Speaker and Coach at The Green Goddess Life www.thegreengoddesslife.com. She empowers modern day women to stop dieting for good, by adopting a healthy, loving relationship with food, and a brand new lifestyle that reflects this. Mel has sparked 'The Goddess Revolution’, which is taking over as the new 'anti-diet'. This is not a fad diet or a set of rules to follow, but a revolutionary new way of thinking that will help women to end the war on their bodies, start embracing an incredibly rewarding relationship with food, and become happier and more fulfilled than they ever thought possible. Tackling very modern issues - including 'fitspiration' and the obsession with perfection caused by celebrity culture and magazine airbrushing - Melissa speaks in a language that modern day women can relate to. As seen in Hello!, Cosmopolitan, Women's Health, Heat, Closer, New! The Daily Mail and more, Mel has also built up a client list including celebrities, actresses, models and reality stars, helping them quit dieting, and transform themselves into Goddesses too. Show notes: Mel's first dream of becoming an actress and how it influenced her to restrict her food intake The time Mel's mom was worried about her when she stumbled upon one of Mel's eating disorder forums Why Mel started to binge instead of restrict when she was launched forward in her career Mel's interest in nutrition heightened when her dad was diagnosed with cancer and had four months to live The importance of eating more alkalizing foods to avoid cancerous diseases How Mel then became obsessed with nutrition and used that to conceal her disordered relationship with food The idea of pregnancy was the turning point that opened up her eyes to the changes she needed to make in her life Why I can't seem to just stick with one type of movement, and why I'm okay with it Mel's words of wisdom: "Move your body how you want to move it at that moment. You don't have to do one thing constantly for years...you can dip in and out and do what feels good to you." Why you should quit anything that's no longer serving you, even if you spent money on it The definition of the Goddess Revolution Connect with Mel: Website Facebook Twitter Instagram Pre-order her book HERE Donate just $1 per episode to help support the podcast HERE.
