With his finger on the pulse of health applications, Victor Chapela discusses his work with Suggestic and how he sees Functional Medicine health coaches thriving in tech. With so many new applications being built in the Functional Medicine space, health coaches are vital to connecting technology with customers.  Victor Chapela has over 25 years of IT experience and entrepreneurship. During this time, he founded and led 6 technology companies in the United States and  Mexico. As the founder and CEO of these companies, he has mainly been involved in the design and development of software products and specialized services for the financial industry and large corporations. His latest companies: Sm4rt Security Services and Sm4rt Predictive  Systems were both acquired in 2014. Mr. Chapela is an active angel investor and mentor in the Silicon Valley area. His main expertise lies within the area of information security, risk modeling,  predictive analytics, and machine learning. He is co-author and contributor of courseware, study material, and papers for SANS, OWASP,  ISACA, Springer, and several other organizations and media companies. He is a frequent speaker at international events and is frequently featured in business and trade magazines, television and radio.

The DNA Company uses genetics to help people understand why they are sick and how to address the problems. This is an extremely helpful tool for practicing Fundemental Medicine health coaches. The DNA Company works with health coaches by identifying the rood cause of a client's problem, offering solutions, and having the health coach create a program for their client. Coaching is key to helping clients achieve results.  Kashif Khan is Chief  Executive Officer and Founder of The DNA Company, where personalized medicine is being pioneered through unique insights into the human genome. Growing up in  Vancouver, Canada in an immigrant household, Kashif developed an  industrious entrepreneurial spirit from a young age.
