This Is Hardcore Podcast
This Is Hardcore Podcast is inspired by the people and culture that make things possible. Interviews, stories and plenty of insight and inspiration in the do-ers, the makers and the people pushing the culture over the last 4 decades. There is an unbelievable amount of great DIY information being discussed and will be disseminated through these conversations, in hopes of instilling a hard work ethic in the new generations and a rekindling a connection to the old ways for the old school listeners.

Episode 114 Jay Reason
Episode 114 Jay Reason
After being a guest on the Diablo's Den hosted by Danny Diablo & Jay Reason, it was natural to bring Jay Reason onto the show. Having been friends with Jay since the earliest days of traveling out of state and being close of age, we had alot to talk about and reminisce about.
Jay started out singing in Voice of Reason, then The Distance. He would be the assistant to Jamey Jasta and manage the Stillborn Records. He would later graduate into corporate record industry roles until he broke off a started his own label and now runs a record state in his homestate of Connecticut. Lots of laughs and fun stories and some motivational stuff if you're keen to listen and learn.

Episode 113 20 years of E Town Concrete - The Renaissance
Happy Anniversary to one of my favorite records for nostalgic and sentimental reasons and one who I believe, over time proved to make quite a few critics look foolish.
I give a brief look back at E Town as a whole and go through my opinion on the fantastic record that the Renaissance is.
Listen and if you think there are other records deserving this level of praise please let me know.

Weekend Recap #1 - Hardcore Pride Weekend
This is something I've been thinking about doing for a while; in lieu of releasing an episode on Friday, do something for Monday morning after a long weekend.
I've got a video version of this that will be released alongside this audio version.
I would love to get some feedback if it works or sucks.

Episode 111 Mike Scondotto of Confusion
Episode 111 Mike Scondotto of Confusion
Mike Scondotto of Confusion (Inhuman, the Last Stand) has been a part of NYHC for a long time. I had a great time talking to him about the early days of growing up in Brooklyn in a house full of brothers, 4 out of 5 of which ended up being a part of the NYHC scene.
We go deep into MIke's love of Metal, hardcore, the early days of what would later become "metalcore". The story of Confusion is also told, with alot of lesser known facts.
With the re-issue of Confusion on vinyl via Generation Records and DAZE Style, it was awesome to hear the story from Mike and just talk about his opinion and insight from being around so many great moments early in NYHC history.
