Interview with Molly Annelle
We had the pleasure of interviewing Molly Annelle over Zoom video! Canada's rich musical history continues with 18-year-old singer/songwriter Molly Annelle. Thanks to a distinctive flair for bending language to fit melody, the young musician is ready to take the world by storm — combining the essence of R&B jams, Bossa Nova bops and Yé Yé girl pop - resulting in a tone all her own. "I like to describe my sound as dreamy R&B music, with a little bit of an edge to it," she explains, adding that all genres of music have played a pivotal role in her growth as a musician. Her eclectic taste is evident in the subtle samba sounds that fuse effortlessly with 1960's European pop nuances - all of which pepper her 2021 album, Elevator Music. Molly's journey is one that began at the tender age of five when the Vancouver-based songstress penned her very first song — the uncannily entitled Obscure Bird. Four years later, at just nine-years-old, she was named Young Composer of the Year, writing four-part harmonies for the Vancouver Chamber Choir. Encouraged by family and teachers alike, the young musician found her voice in the kind of honest lyricism and devoted storytelling which has continued to set her apart. It was also the kind of drive and ambition that happened to catch the attention of 604 Records' Jonathan Simkin, resulting in Molly's label debut, Winter Waves, a Christmas anthem which garnered close to 345,000 streams on Spotify alone. To close out this year, Molly is set to release her new single, Dior, in November as the first of three brand-new tracks, to show her growth as a writer and artist. We want to hear from you! Interview with Obeeyay
We had the pleasure of interviewing Obeeyay over Zoom video! Winnin' is the follow-up release to Obeeyay's debut single (Make You Mine) with Wonderwild Records. The 25-year old singer-songwriter has worked with the likes of Brandy, Queen Latifah and Jojo. Obeeyay honed his skills as a songwriter during his early teens, upon a move from Salt Lake City to Los Angeles, California. After gaining many years of experience writing for other artists, he moved back to his native state of Utah to focus on his career as a solo act. Obeeyay is most notable for his his remake of Sunflower from the blockbuster Spiderman film "Into the Spider Verse." Since the release of that song this singer has published a series of pop compositions that span the genres of R&B, pop and hip-hop. His music highlights the depths of his love life, his knack for creating radio-friendly songs and his thrilling vocal range. Today, he's one of the hottest live performers in the entire state of Utah--having performed several times for live audiences at Utah Jazz games. We want to hear from you! Interview with The National Parks
We had the pleasure of interviewing The National Parks over Zoom video! Folk-influenced male/female indie pop band The National Parks has released the official music video for their latest single, "Live Til We Die," off their recently released album, A Mix For The End Of The World – Part 1. The fun and colorful visual, directed by Cameron Gade with cinematographer Spencer Goff, sees the Provo, UT-based quartet take a step back in time to a 1980s-style late night talk show. On the heels of the album's release earlier this month, The National Parks successfully launched their very own curated festival experience, Superbloom Music Festival, on Saturday, October 9th . The first-ever event took place under the stars near Zion National Park at Sand Hollow Resort in Southern Utah in front of a soldout crowd of nearly 2,000. Created by the band as a celebration of life and music set amid a beautiful location, Superbloom featured performances from Yoke Lore, Joseph, Joshua James, Ellee Duke, Brother. and Arbour Season before The National Parks closed out the day-long extravaganza. A Mix For The End Of The World – Part 1, released October 8th, marks the first half of the independent band's two-part digital-only project, which will see Part 2 released in early 2022. The 8-track collection, recorded at June Audio and produced and mixed by their longtime collaborator Scott Wiley, also features the singles "Headlights," "Summer Bird" and "UFO," the latter of which was recently featured on Ones To Watch's Now Playing playlist. A Mix For The End Of The World follows The National Parks' critically acclaimed 2020 album Wildflower and continues to showcase the band's sonic evolution and lead vocalist/guitarist Brady Parks' deep and heartfelt songwriting. Since emerging in 2013 with their introductory album Young, The National Parks — Brady Parks [guitar, vocals], Sydney Macfarlane [keys, vocals], Cam Brannelly [drums] and Megan Parks [violin] — have quietly grown into an independent phenomenon with roots embedded in blissful pop, cinematic electronics, organic orchestration, and rock energy. The four-piece has racked up over 150 million total streams, sold out headlining shows across the country, toured with Andy Grammer, Peter Bjorn and John and WILD, and performed at KAABOO Del Mar, SXSW and CMJ. Interview with Our Lady Peace
We had the pleasure of interviewing Our Lady Peace over Zoom video! Our Lady Peace released their upbeat, tecnicolor groove track "Future Disease," the second single off their upcoming album 'Spiritual Machines II' which will drop on January 28th. Blending catchy rhythms, guitars, and bass, this 80's inspired alt-pop reflection represents all things Our Lady Peace - addressing the future, having humility, and the importance of healing as a society and the journey that comes with it. This follows their recent US "Stop Making Stupid People Famous" tour announcement where they will be hitting cities like NYC, LA, Boston, Detroit, etc in November. Full dates below. "Future Disease is the bridge between Spiritual Machines & Spiritual Machines II. This song echoes some of the sonic flavors & production techniques from the original album. It gives us comfort to have a track that ties the two albums together." - Raine Maida Earlier this fall, Our Lady Peace announced the sequel to their critically acclaimed 2000's album 'Spiritual Machines', a record which has become a pillar of late 90s alt rock and a prime example of their band's creative brilliance. 'Spiritual Machines II' will serve as the answer to their 2000 LP which was influenced by inventor and futurist Ray Kurzweil's book "The Age Of The Spiritual Machines." ' Spiritual Machines II' is the anti-rock record Our Lady Peace fans have been waiting for. Produced by TV On The Radio's Dave Sitek (with additional production by Jason Lader on three tracks), the album features the return of Kurzweil with new predictions such as near-future with UBI (Universal Basic Income), AI that will pass the Turing Test by 2029, and sustainable solutions to ending global hunger and poverty. 'Spiritual Machines II' marks an uplifting new chapter for OLP as it carves out a new genre that is best described as future rock with each song crafted to represent the new predictions for our future as a society. Last summer, Our Lady Peace released the first track off the forthcoming album, "Stop Making Stupid People Famous" featuring Pussy Riot with a video to pair. The track is a reflection on celebrity influencer culture and how it has weakened the fibers of society. The choreography-ladened video uniquely contrasts the tongue-in-cheek nature of the song with carefree and colorful visuals, highlighting young activists and leaders that society should actually be making famous. They also introduced their Future Famous program, which recognizes a wide range of exceptional people in different fields (science, environmentalism, music, art, etc) who are making a real difference in the world. Interview with Rikas

The 6-track EP features two unreleased tracks, as well as the previously released singles "Stereo", "I Always Think Of You (When I Listen To This Song)", "Superstitious", and "Party on the Rooftop". Interview with The Violent
We had the pleasure of interviewing The Violent over Zoom video! This is the story of The Violent. As 2019 came to a close, rock band Red Sun Rising announced an indefinite hiatus as its members pursued other opportunities. Soon after, the world as we knew it sunk into the deep hole of the pandemic. The time in lockdown helped to fuel the creative process for singer and songwriter Mike Protich, who was in search of a new creative release and to stretch his musical muscles. He recruited two members from his former band — Patrick Gerasia on drums and David McGarry on guitar. The threesome began to work remotely during the initial lockdown and quarantine. They embarked on virtual sessions using home studio setups and collaborating with producer Albert DiFiore in Nashville Tennessee. With roots in rock music, the three began to find fresh and invigorating ways to utilize their musicianship beyond the standard iteration of rock bands. They embraced experimentation by blending the familiar elements of rock music with a newfound appreciation for electronic and digital sounds. This process was elevated due to the fact that the members were unable to physically be in a room together to play. Out of this process, The Violent was born. It is truly a child of this chaotic pandemic — both sonically and lyrically. We want to hear from you! Interview with Station
We had the pleasure of interviewing Station over Zoom video! New York City's STATION –hailed by Guitar World as one of the 15 current bands who are "the New Wave of Classic Rock" (alongside peers such as The Struts, Stonefield, Dirty Honey, and Rival Sons)—just released the second single and video from their forthcoming new album. "I Can't Find My Way" is streaming now on all digital outlets, and the video can be seen on the band's official YouTube page. On October 8, STATION--Patrick Kearney (lead vocals), Chris Lane (guitars/keyboards/backing vocals), Emi Asta (bass/backing vocals), Tony Baptist (drums)—will showcase their brand of Rock on their self-produced fourth album, PERSPECTIVE, on Station Music LLC via AWAL. Pre-orders and pre-saves worldwide for the album are available now, which includes a free download of the first single, "Believe." A video for "Believe" can also be seen now on their YouTube page. Like on all previous STATION albums, the songs on PERSPECTIVE show remarkable diversity and impressive musicianship. Lyrically, they cover a wide spectrum of different types of topics, ranging from purely happy, fun songs about love to touching on more introspective and serious emotions. STATION attracted a dedicated audience right from the start, even though the band always stood out from the esoteric indie rock acts that have tended to dominate the New York City scene in recent times. Bucking that trend, Kearney and Lane founded STATION so they could create more complex hard rock infused with a fun attitude, with bassist Emi Asta and drummer Tony Baptist joining later. Naming themselves STATION after a pivotal character in the Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure film series, they soon won over a large and loyal fanbase in New York (and well beyond), proving that there are, unquestionably, many listeners who appreciate this type of high-spirited (and highly skilled) hard rock. This musical distinctiveness was evident right from the start with STATION's debut single, "Everything," in 2012. The next year, they put out an EP, WIRED, which was produced, mixed, and mastered by famed hard rock producer Michael Wagener (Alice Cooper, Metallica, Ozzy Osbourne). Gaining confidence in what their sound should be, Station self-produced their subsequent full-length studio albums: STATION (2015), MORE THAN THE MOON (2018), STAINED GLASS (2019), and now PERSPECTIVE (2021). Interview with CAL
We had the pleasure of interviewing CAL over Zoom video! The former front man of the band Timeflies, CAL moved to Los Angeles, CA in 2015 and engulfed himself in the artist/producer/songwriter scene. His work with some of the top writers and producers in LA has helped him find his voice as a solo act, more mature and self assured, while also very much a leading man. 'Roll the Credits' is the fourth single to come from his forthcoming EP, releasing this Fall on Photo Finish Records., CAL's been working in LA producing and writing tracks for a bunch of Tik Tok stars like Griffin Johnson, Benson Boone (1.6M), Anson Seabra + more. He's really established himself as the "go-to" producer in that scene. CAL's release "In the Water" with Quinn XCII was featured on MTV's season finale of Siesta Key a couple weeks back, and has done over 10M streams WW (all platforms). In the Water has been used in a few big Tik Tok videos including one from Kira Kosarin (25M followers). We want to hear from you! Interview with AVATAR
We had the pleasure of interviewing AVATAR over Zoom video/audio! The heavy metal 'n' roll dark madcap visionaries collectively known as AVATAR are ambitious, Swedish rock sorcerers of the highest order. They smash the boundaries between the band, theater troupe, and cinematic masterminds with a series of celebrated albums and videos, and the immersive world of Avatar Country, a fantastical land where metal rules supreme. In keeping with their customary larger-than-life-ness, the band is back with not one but TWO brand new songs. Avatar have shared the official music video for "Going Hunting," directed once again by Johan Carlén, and fan track "Barren Cloth Mother." The black and white, animated visual for "Going Hunting" features a giant insect as its protagonist, faceless men in suits, the band performing, and much more in its storyline. It's a glorious and cinematic visual, which is expected from the band. The band has also announced its signing with a new label. They are now part of the Thirty Tigers roster and have launched their own Black Waltz Records imprint. We want to hear from you!
