#HURDLEMOMENT: An Important Conversation On Runner Safety With Jessie Zapo
As I type these show notes, I'm just an hour removed from learning about the 26-year-old woman who was shot during her run last night in Tennessee. My heart aches for so many whom, regardless of gender identity, fear for their safety when they go outside and do the thing that once made them feel free. For today's episode, I'm chatting with my dear friend and Adidas Runners Performance Coach and Girls Run NYC founder Jessie Zapo about how we can do better, what allyship looks like for the running community, and our history with harassment on the run.

238. Fritz Lanman, CEO of Mindbody
Fritz Lanman never envisioned he'd be at the healm of a company where tech and wellness collide. But today, he's the CEO of Mindbody; a tool that a majority of fitness studios use to help clients book online. Based in Montana, the entrepreneur tells us how it came to be for episode 238, and he sheds some light on the career path that enabled him to dream big and think bigger. He also shares some insight into his past injury history, which shaped both his mindset toward health and fitness these days, and the best advice he was offered after Mindbody bought Classpass in 2021. If you liked my conversations with Aly Orady, Hayden Slater, or Dr. Jason Wersland — you'll love this one, too.

#HURDLEMOMENT: Acupuncture 101: An Expert On How It Works & What to Expect
Teddy Levarda worked in finance for 10 years before making a career change, triggerd by the regular stress of his investment job that resulted in chronic hip and back pain. After seeing an acupuncturist himself and having a life-changing experience, he decided that he too wanted to help others via the modality. Fast forward to today: He's an entreprenuer and founder of Morningside Acupuncture in Manhattan, and he's talking to me today all about the practice. We're talking about it all: What is acupuncture, does acupuncture hurt, what can acupuncture treat, what does it cost, and more.

236. Branden Collinsworth, Human Performance Coach
Branden Collinsworth grew up on the streets of Las Vegas. Finding movement at a young age, he used that as a lifeline to get away from bad habits and dangerous situations. It was through perserverance that he went on to open up a highly successful chain of gyms and get his master's in psychology from the University of Pennsylvania (he admits in today's episode that he worked on the application for two full years). But still in pursuit of his ultimate purpose of love, he decided to travel to Bali to practice yoga and find himself. In episode 236, Collinsworth talks extensively about how to home in on your purpose, offers up some of his favorite takeaways from the people who inspire him, touches on how the skills he's learned through his beloved yoga practice have helped him become a better human, and beams with excitement over his next chapter with CorePower Yoga and their new strength offering CorePower Strength X.
