Ep 167: Podside Chat - Living Spiritually Aligned And Escaping Money Slavery
Start Your Transformation NowIn this episode I have three themes: I talk about and read notes from an actual phone call that I had with my brother-in-law, the shaman, don Xavier. As well, I pull a lesson from them and share it with you, and then I extend that into a second big takeaway to help you create more freedom in your life.In January of 2001 when I lived in NYC I had a significant life-changing experience that I share with you. In the process, I got a tongue lashing from my brother-in-law and I share that with you verbatim, warts and all.The big takeaway from that call is that I had to “align” myself spiritually. I had to fall in line with my life’s calling. Candidly, I had been shirking my responsibilities and consequently was living from what I call “misalignment.” Overall, in terms of 3D life, it was no big deal but in terms of my spiritual evolution, it was costing me everything, especially my peace of mind.In this episode, I talk about the power of peace of mind and how it can set you free. Most of us live in lives of chaos and most of us live on the hamster wheel of life and it distracts us from our passions and quite candidly, wears us out.Secondly, I talk about being a slave to money. Most people are not money motivated, so to speak, but they spend their entire lives in the pursuit of money to maintain whatever standard of living they have.In this episode, I dive into that and definitely talk about freeing yourself from that soul-sucking hamster wheel.Transformational Takeaway: It’s hard to do anything in life if you don’t have peace of mind and money is a tool, not our master.Mentioned Resources:Episode 9: How The Law Of Attraction Repels The Money And Abundance You WantJoin the Nail Your Niche WaitlistLet's Connect: Instagram Facebook YouTube LinkedIn LIKED THE EPISODE?If you're the kind of person who likes to help others, then share this with your friends and family. Ep 166: Living In The Past to Living In The Present
Start Your Transformation NowOk, so I decided to call this type of podcast a “Podside Chat” because I want these to be casual and comfortable so you can better absorb the content.Obviously, I can’t go super deep on episodes like this, and my objective is to get you to start thinking in new ways little by little. So for now, let’s use this format. This week, in this episode, I talk about several things and yet two main themes, Self-Love and Living In The Present. These are “slippery topics” and ones that are foundational for all of our lives and our happiness. The first topic, self-love. The foundational thought this week is this: The Only Way To Feel Love Is To Love Yourself First. We have such a lack of self-love in the world, if anything, the lack is of epidemic proportions. It’s like the invisible poison that just slowly kills people, so it’s something that needs to be addressed.Next, I talk about living in the present. We live in a world that has conditioned itself to be in the past and the future when neither exists.Transformational Takeaway: Until we can get a better handle on self-love and being present in our own lives, heartache and frustration are going to be our lots in life.Mentioned Resources:Love Yourself Like Your Life Depends on it by Kamal RavikantEpisode 6: Here’s The Only Place To Find Your Highest PotentialDisclosure: Some of the links above are affiliate links, meaning, at no additional cost to you, I will earn a small commission if you make a purchase.Let's Connect: Instagram Facebook YouTube LinkedIn LIKED THE EPISODE?If you're the kind of person who likes to help others, then share this with your friends and family. Ep 165: More Random Thoughts To Transform Your Life
Start Your Transformation NowAs I was thinking about this week’s episode and what I wanted to share I had an epiphany: I have tons of things to share with you sitting right on my desk. For decades I have taken notes when talking to my brother-in-law, the shaman. Over the years I’ve gone through the notes and taken an inventory of myself and my own growth and often I add to the notes with my own assessment of self-growth.As I was thinking about this week’s episode I had a stack of notes on my desk that are simply personal notes to myself and I thought, “Why don’t I share this with people?”The podcast is never contrived or orchestrated in any way others than to serve you and perhaps give you food for thought, and when I had this idea earlier I decided to just share with you some of the bullets from my personal notes. The thoughts I share this week have been life-changing for me and I think you’ll also find value.I could give the bullet points I talk about here in this write-up but that ruins all the fun of new discovery, so, listen to this week’s episode and I’m curious so to whether or not you like the impromptu format of this episode. The general theme this week is random thoughts regarding spiritual responsibility for our lives and our personal evolution. And, because I have a transformational takeaway each week, let me pick just one from the bullets I talk about and it’s this…Transformational Takeaway: What you’re in agreement with is what you’re in alignment with.Mentioned Resources:Episode 2: Who Are You And What Is Your Identity?EPISODE 83: You speak your life into existence.Let's Connect: Instagram Facebook YouTube LinkedIn LIKED THE EPISODE?If you're the kind of person who likes to help others, then share this with your friends and family. Ep 164: Use LOVE, Care, Concern, And Giving To Transform Your Life
Start Your Transformation NowI did an episode very similar to this last week and it’s such a HUGE and vital concept I decided to do another episode on Ayni.As I was thinking about a topic for this week’s episode I ran into an old journal I had from a decade ago and it had a handwritten note from a friend of mine who built a wildly successful and large company. Years ago she told me the four things that built her business were Love, Care, Concern, and Giving and I expand on that in this episode. If you’re like most people you probably think you’re a concerned and giving person but are you really? Seriously, have you deeply examined why you give? Here is a subtle distinction that most people miss. Most people think they give because it makes them feel good but even that in itself is giving to get because you’re giving to get something in return, which is a happy feeling.I have a few vital questions for you in this episode to explore.I also touch upon many of us think that if we’re generous then we’re all good and we “did good,” but have you asked yourself why you’re so generous? And, here is something most of us overlook for many years, even if we’re generous are we simultaneously selfish?I’ve always been very generous in life but I never realized until several years back that I was selfish with my generosity. That was a definite blind spot I had and I’m sure as I talk about it in this episode many people can relate. You’re only on the plant for two things….to evolve and serve, there are no other reasons and hence, this is why another episode on this, because service helps us further down the road in our own evolvement.Transformational Takeaway: LOVE, Care, Concern And Giving Are The Surest Way To Transform Your Life.Mentioned Resources:EPISODE 163: “AYNI – The Reciprocity Of Life – Part 3”Let's Connect: Instagram Facebook YouTube LinkedIn LIKED THE EPISODE?If you're the kind of person who likes to help others, then share this with your friends and family. Ep 163: AYNI - The Reciprocity Of Life - Part 3
Start Your Transformation NowThis is one of the most powerful concepts in life. It has universal awareness but very few of us truly “know” this concept and we don’t exercise it in life.Your external life is a reflection of your internal life and what you have in your external life is the objectification of what you have in your internal life.Hence, if you’d like to observe the quality of your thinking, look at the quality of your life. They are one in the same.As it pertains to prosperity, what you have in prosperity is a reflection of your prosperity consciousness and your consciousness determines to what degree you serve others.Ok, so where am I going with this? Easy, it’s subtle yet this determines all…and that is to what degree we are fully immersed in the cycle for life or the reciprocity of life. The truth is this, life is reciprocal and it reflects us back to ourselves and what we have in life is a reflection of what we give in life.Listen to this episode where I dig into AYNI again, as it pertains to service to others, and I talk about how to bring it more fully into your life and create my health, wealth, and abundance in your life.Transformational Takeaway: You get what you give in life.Mentioned Resources:Episode 33: AYNI – The Reciprocity Of LifeEpisode 35 : AYNI – The Reciprocity Of Life Part 2Give and Take: Why Helping Others Drives Our Success by Adam GrantDisclosure: Some of the links above are affiliate links, meaning, at no additional cost to you, I will earn a small commission if you make a purchase.Let's Connect: Instagram Facebook YouTube LinkedIn LIKED THE EPISODE?If you're the kind of person who likes to help others, then share this with your friends and family. Ep 162: Stop Giving Your Power Away Part 2
Start Your Transformation NowOk, so last week we started this topic and I asked you to do an exercise for an entire week to see how often you did or didn’t do what others wanted of you just to please them. What did you discover about yourself? If you’re like most people you found that you do a whole lot of what you don’t want in an effort to please other people and keep them happy. In this episode, I want to share seven points to consider so you can stop caring about what others think and how you can stop giving your power away:1. What meaning are you putting on people liking and approving of you? Does it validate you? Do you feel higher self-worth?2. Just be you. Some people won’t like you but when you’re you, those who like your values, vibes, and thoughts will gravitate towards you.3. Do not take people’s thoughts about you personally? People do not like you or not like you because of you, they like you or don’t because of their interpretations of who they think you are and the relevance of that to their own value systems.4. Self-Acceptance. Just accept who you are. Some will love you, some will reject you…that’s a way of life. You cannot grow in life until you accept yourself.5. Your life is not a popularity contest. What do you want to do in the world? Many times it’s the crazy people who are not liked and they do the most in the world.6. Are you the problem? Take some life inventory. Maybe when you’re repelling people it’s “not them,” maybe it’s you exhibiting some undesirable social characteristic and some people don’t want to be around it.7. And finally, stop caring what others think or do not think of you. You cannot control that. Some will like you, some will not…so what!Transformational Takeaway: You give your power away when you live your life by what others think you should and should not do…Mentioned Resources:Episode 19: Why People Who Trigger You Are Your Greatest BlessingLet's Connect: Instagram Facebook YouTube LinkedIn LIKED THE EPISODE?If you're the kind of person who likes to help others, then share this with your friends and family. Ep 161: Stop Giving Your Power Away Part 1
Start Your Transformation NowI know you’ve probably never thought of it in these terms, but simply by virtue of being a human, you have amazing power! Now the question is, given the title of this episode, how much of your power do you give away? Most people, in an effort to please others and to be liked, give away a huge amount of their power and don’t even realize they are doing it.And, what happens when you give away your power…you’re powerless…that’s what. And, what happens when you’re powerless? This is a short episode and I introduce the subject of giving your power away. I give you an amazingly simple exercise to do so you can start keeping more power in your life. What does this mean? I’ll explain more about it in the next episode.Right now this episode is going to be an awareness and the start of you making choices to stop being controlled by others! So, for now, give the episode a listen and do what I suggest you do and we’ll go to the next step next week.Transformational Takeaway: You give your power away when you live your life by what others think you should and should not do.Let's Connect: Instagram Facebook YouTube LinkedIn LIKED THE EPISODE?If you're the kind of person who likes to help others, then share this with your friends and family. Ep 160: Go Beyond Your Limits
Start Your Transformation NowI take a couple of different angles in this episode. Specifically, I talk about the socially learned human limitations we are taught, the handicap of qualifying life and that “living up to your potential” is not about potential, it’s about your subconscious identity. It’s hard for most of us to grasp but 99% of our limitations are learned. This takes me back to a story I want to share. If I asked you if you think a 56-year-old man, two weeks out of the hospital with a heart attack and zero training and preparation could run 75 consecutive marathons, what would you say? Would you say, “No way” he could do that? Or, do you think that he could? I answer that question in this episode. It dawned on me a few years back that I lived my life through “quantification.” I “counted” things to determine what was good and bad in life. What was acceptable and not. What was a good measure of success and achievement, etc. A while back I learned this is a failed strategy as it keeps us on the merry-go-round of life quantification. Meaning, we’re good enough when we achieve certain things and to certain degrees and we’re falling short when we’re not achieving those numbered quantifications. It’s my attempt in this episode to get you to start letting go of that universally ingrained thinking that keeps us trapped.Has there ever been a time you did something and you initially thought that there was no way you could do it? Most people can say yes to this. Well, it’s not that you can’t do something, it’s that you have “perceived” that you can’t do that and we explore that in this episode. As well, we look at a few real-life scenarios from my own life where either I or someone I knew thought we could not do things, and we actually did them when we stopped “quantifying them.”To add a different perspective on quantification, the Navy Seals have what they call the Rule of 40% and what that means is when you think you’re tired, worn out, exhausted and you have nothing left in you, you still have 40% more energy in you to use and to keep going. We explore that a bit in this episode. And, we wrap up with the fact that you achieving in life has nothing to do with your potential but with the perceptions of your potential. You’re unlimited with unlimited ability, it’s your perceptions about what you cannot and can do that determines that ability.Transformational Takeaway: You’ll never know what you can do until you go beyond your limits because they are not your limits they are your perceived limits!Mentioned Resources:Episode 1: Transforming Your Life From The Inside OutEpisode 2: Who Are You And What Is Your Identity?Episode 3: What Is The Story Of Your Life?Episode 4: The Biology of FearEpisode 5: Why Your Bad Habits Are So Hard To BreakLet's Connect: Instagram Facebook YouTube LinkedIn LIKED THE EPISODE?If you're the kind of person who likes to help others, then share this with your friends and family. Ep 159: Fear Is The Idleness Of Will
Start Your Transformation NowWhat does this mean? I first heard this phrase from Eliphas Levi, and 1880s an occultist. I heard it years ago and I incorporated it into my thinking many years ago. It changed my life and it will change yours too. (If you chose to live your life by it.) So, if you’re like most people you may be wondering what it really means? It’s pretty simple. We all have a life force in us. We can call it consciousness, energy, God or whatever you want, but we can direct this life force to do our bidding when we stay out of fear and learn to “channel it” with our attention. Our “will” is a super powerful force…and we can accomplish anything when we learn to use it. For example, has there ever been a time when you “KNEW” you were going to make something happen, and you did? Well, you used your “will” to drive it all. In this episode I talk about your will, how to use it, my years of experience learning to master it and how powerful it can be for you. This is a simple but powerful concept and episode. I share my twenty past years of learning to master will and I teach you in simple steps how you can too. And, when I say small simple steps, it’s literally only one step. Listen, apply and expect miracles in your life when you master your will. Transformational Takeaway: Fear is the idleness of will.Mentioned Resources:Episode 9: How The Law Of Attraction Repels The Money And Abundance You WantEPISODE 104: Using Your Intention And Will To Create And ManifestLet's Connect: Instagram Facebook YouTube LinkedIn LIKED THE EPISODE?If you're the kind of person who likes to help others, then share this with your friends and family. Ep 158: Do You Need To Trust Yourself More?
Start Your Transformation NowThis is huge for a lot of people, and truth be told, for many years I didn’t trust myself either. That is, until I recognized that I’m going to share with you in this episode. As you’ll hear in this episode, “trusting yourself” is such a generic way to look at ourselves. It’s generally never about trusting ourselves it’s more about trusting our ability to create a desired outcome. Often times we want XYZ in life, a desired outcome, but we don’t act because we don’t trust we’ll get the outcome. And, then, if you’re like me, you’d be frozen, not act and then be frustrated because you were not getting what you want in life. And, my old thought paradigm was, “I didn’t get XYZ because because I did not trust myself to take action and leap.” As you’ll hear, that’s an ineffective way to approach this. When we stop to think about it, it’s not about trusting ourselves, it’s actually about trusting our ability, yet we experience it as a lack of trust in self – which is what I meant by looking at it generically. In this episode I put a whole new understanding on the concept of trusting ourselves. One that will empower you to take action on things that you want in life without regard to how much you trust yourself. What you’ll discover is that trusting ourselves is often sabotaged because we don’t expect that we’ll get an outcome, and in that moment it’s no longer about trust, it’s about expectation. Transformational Takeaway: When you let go of an expectation and attachment to an outcome, self-trust becomes easy.Mentioned Resources:Sign up for the upcoming BE-DO-HAVE Training here!Let's Connect: Instagram Facebook YouTube LinkedIn LIKED THE EPISODE?If you're the kind of person who likes to help others, then share this with your friends and family.
