Ep 284: INTERVIEW: Having A Vision and Overcoming Adversity in Business and Life
Start Your Transformation NowIn this inspiring episode, I chat with Adrian Massey, an entrepreneur from England who was previously a student in my Transformation Coaching Program (TCP). We discussed his journey as an entrepreneur, including the challenges he faced starting his business, how he overcame obstacles, and where he is today. He first connected with me because he wanted to start a food business but was struggling to gain traction. Adrian was driven by his purpose – to create a nutritious and sustainable product that makes life easier for busy people and families, but was instantly met with adversity. Shortly after starting TCP, he partnered with a large company to produce and distribute his product. However, issues arose with manufacturing and quality control, forcing him to end the partnership and shut down operations after investing significant time and money. This left him feeling desperate and with few resources to continue pursuing his business. However, he credits the mindset tools he learned in TCP for giving him the strength to persevere. He realized he needed to trust himself more and operate from a place of possibility rather than scarcity. He also realized that his desperation was hindering him, and he needed commitment, not desperation, to succeed.Adrian decided to pivot his business model and raised investment capital to restart production on his own. He overcame additional adversities like COVID-19 and supply chain challenges but successfully launched his product in UK (United Kingdom) supermarkets. His drinks are now outselling major brands.Throughout his journey, Adrian stayed motivated by his purpose. Having said that, I emphasized in the episode that his focus on creating value for others rather than getting rich is why he persisted. He agreed, noting that money alone doesn't drive great entrepreneurs.Transformational Takeaway: What limiting beliefs might be holding you back from fully pursuing your biggest vision? Ep 282: Your Choice: Happiness Or Attachment?
Start Your Transformation NowDo you want to be happy in life, or would you rather stay attached to all the things that bring unhappiness into your life? In this week's episode, I dive into the concept of attachment, why we attach to others and things, and how to start leaving the attachments behind you. We must first recognize and accept that our greatest source of unhappiness is attachment. When we get attached to ideas, outcomes, possessions, etc., we suffer when those things don't happen the way we expect. We let external things like money, health, and relationships drive our internal happiness. But true happiness comes from within. We can be happy or unhappy based on our thinking. Happiness is an inside job.To let go of attachment, we must first develop awareness. Awareness comes through observing ourselves and allowing what is. You must observe how you feel when you don't get the outcomes you want. Realize these feelings are just illusions created by your mind. Attachment stems from your lack of awareness, and you must observe yourself to understand why you do what you do.I talk about far more and explain further, but the key to happiness lies in letting go of your attachments to people, places, and things. By developing awareness through observation and allowing what is, you can release your grip on the outcomes and ideals you cling to…and this is the start of releasing the attachments that keep you trapped and unhappy. Transformational Takeaway: What you don’t have in life is a reflection of what you are attached to. You are attached to your lack of trust in yourself. If you did trust in yourself, what would you attempt to do in your life?Let's Connect: Instagram Facebook YouTube LinkedIn LIKED THE EPISODE?If you're the kind of person who likes to help others, then share this with your friends and family. Ep 281: Whose Purpose Are You Living?
Start Your Transformation NowIn this episode of the Transform Your Life podcast, I talk about the importance of living your own purpose in life rather than conforming to the expectations and ideals of others. I talk about how we can get stuck in careers, relationships, and situations that don't align with our true desires because we seek the approval of our parents, partners, and society. I ask you to explore whether you are truly living a purposeful, fulfilling life on your own terms or living your life for others. As I ask the last question, I think back to the 1991 movie, The Dead Poet's Society, and I think about the movie character named Neil. He wanted to pursue acting and loved it, but his stern father wanted him to go to Harvard Medical School. Neil hated the idea of medical school and found it soul-crushing, but he agreed. You'll have to watch the movie for the story's conclusion, but it's not uncommon for people to deny their own hopes, wishes, wants, and dreams and instead live their lives to please their parents.Often times cultural and familial pressures guide people down a path that doesn't fulfill them, and they live decades misaligned from their own purpose while trying to please others. So, it's important to ask whether you are living your own purpose or someone else's.Another purpose-robbing action that people often get into is seeking validation from others. This is a surefire way to live an unfulfilled life. For example, a friend of mine was constantly motivated by a desire for his father's approval, and that led him down an obsessive path of constantly trying to prove himself. This behavior disconnects you from your higher self and obscures your true purpose. You can't create an authentic life while dependent on external validation.I have found that the key to living your purpose is surrendering to your destiny and innate talents. This involves getting quiet, listening to your intuition, and taking aligned action. We must focus on the importance of being grateful and on contribution rather than achievement. Here are four key points you may want to keep in mind:
Surrender to your innate talents and destiny.
Listen to your intuition and take aligned action.
Express gratitude and focus on contributing.
Achievements will naturally follow purposeful contributions.
You must examine whether you are living someone else's purpose or your own. If you are not thrilled by how you spend your days, you are likely conforming to others' expectations. I challenge you to get creative, listen within, and take steps each day to live your own purpose. Transformational Takeaway: When you are living your purpose, you are contributing your talents to activities that light you up, and you will experience true joy and fulfillment. Your key is being brave enough to live life on your own terms. Just do it.Mentioned Resources:EPISODE 280: History, Humanity, and Spiritual Ego.EPISODE 236: Living Life on Your Own TermsLet's Connect: Instagram Facebook YouTube LinkedIn LIKED THE EPISODE?If you're the kind of person who likes to help others, then share this with your friends and family. Ep 280: History, Humanity, and Spiritual Ego.
Start Your Transformation NowIn this episode, we'll explore how to transform our lives from the inside out, and we'll be discussing how to align with cosmic cycles, how you can stay connected to your higher source, and how to make an impact on our world.First and foremost, we are conscious beings. In that consciousness and awareness of our being, we'll find our greatest power. As simple as it sounds, we must become conscious of being conscious. When you start becoming conscious of being conscious, this can help you to dramatically transform your life. In this episode, I talked extensively about how we form our lives, the source we all come from, and how we lose awareness of who/what we really are along the way.We become immersed in the planetary social fabric and lose touch with our higher function of mind.I go on to discuss how you can align with cosmic cycles and how the Mayan 13-moon calendar can help you to stay connected to the cosmic cycles. I explore how to stay connected to our higher source and how you can use the cosmic cycles to create positive change in your life.We wrap up with how to make an impact in our communities and how to use our lives to make a difference in the world. I also explore how you can stay connected to your higher source and use your life to create positive change within your community.Transformational Takeaway: Becoming conscious of being conscious is the path to transforming your life from the inside out. By re-establishing your connection with your higher source and aligning with cosmic cycles, you can create positive change in your life and make a greater impact on the world.Mentioned Resources:Discover How to Eliminate Fear and Negativity In an InstantThe Jim Fortin PodcastLet's Connect: Instagram Facebook YouTube LinkedIn LIKED THE EPISODE?If you're the kind of person who likes to help others, then share this with your friends and family. Ep 279: Who & What Were You Before You Got Here?
Start Your Transformation NowIn this episode, I explore the divine mind and our true nature. I discuss the concept of life as a continuity, the power of the divine mind, and how to invest our experience and time on this planet. We start with the premise and question of: “Who we are and what we are before we came to planet Earth.” One of the biggest illusions of humans is that we are a body with a mind and that’s backwards. We are first and foremost a mind with a body and your mind survives without your body but your body cannot exist without your mind. And, I don’t mean your individual 3D ego mind but your divine mind. Without that, the body is dead energy. I have talked about it before and I talk more about death in this episode and we dive into how fear is an illusion and how we must let go of the 3D world and think from a higher level of consciousness. We talk about how repeating the same patterns in our lives prevents us from learning our lessons and we also explore how to invest our experience and time on this planet, and how to live in the present moment. We discuss how the divine mind doesn't hate, and how our body is simply a receiver of the divine mind. And, finally, my bigger point of the episode is that your true nature is your essence, not your body. And, I talk about how living only in the body is living in the smallest fraction of who we are, and how our brain transduces life. Conclusion: In this episode, we explored the divine mind and our true nature. We discussed how life is a continuity, the power of the divine mind, and how to invest our experience and time on this planet. We also discussed how fear of death is an illusion, how we must let go of the 3D world and think from a higher level of consciousness, and how our body is simply a receiver of the divine mind. I hope this episode has helped you gain a better understanding of the divine mind and your true nature.Transformational Takeaway: Our true nature is our being, not our physical body. We are primarily a mind with a body, and our mind survives without the body. The body is merely a receiver of the divine mind. To live fully, we must let go of the illusion of fear, transcend the limitations of the 3D world, and think from a higher level of consciousness. Investing our time and experience on this planet involves understanding the power of the divine mind and living in the present moment.Mentioned Resources:The Kybalion: A Study of The Hermetic Philosophy of Ancient Egypt and Greece by Three InitiatesDisclosure: Some of the links above are affiliate links, meaning, at no additional cost to you, I will earn a small commission if you make a purchase.Let's Connect: Instagram Facebook YouTube LinkedIn LIKED THE EPISODE?If you're the kind of person who likes to help others, then share this with your friends and family. Ep 278: Number 42 - The Meaning Of Life
Start Your Transformation NowThis episode is intended to get you thinking at a higher and different level.“What's the meaning of life?” is an age-old question. In this episode, I take a different approach than most. We tend to personalize the meaning of life and make it relevant only to our experience, but it's so much more complex and bigger than that.In this episode, I talk about how the meaning of life is one we have learned to personalize and make it all about our 3D lives and commercialism. Society has conditioned us to answer the question about the meaning of life in one way, but the meaning of life is also much simpler and deeper. The Elusive Quest for Meaning – Our journey begins by acknowledging the diverse interpretations of the meaning of life. Our guests highlight the individualized nature of this existential quest, as different people perceive and define meaning in their unique ways. We explore how society often conditions us to seek meaning externally when the true source resides within ourselves.Unveiling the Inward Journey – Diving deeper into the topic, we uncover a powerful truth: the meaning of life lies within. Through an intriguing parable, we are reminded of the simplicity of being and how the incessant search for external meaning often obscures our understanding. Our guests encourage us to shift our focus inward and explore the transformative potential of introspection. The Illusion of 3D Meaning – We confront the illusion that traps many individuals throughout their lives—the fixation on superficial meanings. Our speakers shed light on how societal expectations and conditioning contribute to this illusion, limiting our growth and fulfillment. They challenge us to break free from this mindset and embrace a larger, more fulfilling meaning of life.Engaging the Soul's Perspective – Imagine conversing with your soul over a cup of coffee, asking it about the meaning of life. We invite you to ponder this intriguing question. Our guests explore the idea that living soulfully and purposefully aligns us with a higher meaning—one that transcends the mundane and connects us to a more magical, joyful, and peaceful existence.Transformational Takeaway: Remember, your purpose is simply to exist, to be alive on this planet. The meanings you assign to life shape your experiences, and by consciously choosing empowering interpretations, you can transform your reality. Embrace authenticity, let go of societal conditioning, and find joy in the present moment. Join us in living a life rich with meaning, purpose, and fulfillment.Mentioned Resources:Jim Fortin PodcastLet's Connect: Instagram Facebook YouTube LinkedIn LIKED THE EPISODE?If you're the kind of person who likes to help others, then share this with your friends and family.
