Mushroom Society with Bob Wylie- Safety Through Superior Technique Mike Pollak

Today we have a guest joining us and our topic, in general, is safety through superior performance. Mike Pollak was a 2nd Round NFL Draft pick out of Arizona State and played Guard and Center for 7 seasons in the NFL (Colts, Panthers & Bengals). After retiring from the NFL in 2015, Mike started his coaching career at Corona del Sol in Tempe, AZ as the Offensive Line coach and was promoted to Offensive Coordinator in 2016. Mike turned down a head coaching position to pursue this new adventure with Tip of the Spear Football in 2016. He goes around the country now teaching players of all levels this technique. Much of what he has learned has been from Scott Peters who now is Bill Callahan’s assistant for the Cleveland Browns. Coach Callahan and Coach Peters were speakers at the 2022 COOL CLinic and definitely impressed with their presentation on their striking system and outside zone technique. Today we are going to talk about some ideas that are important to keep an eye on during the season as well as how safety in our game is achieved through superior performance.
