154: Superfasting for Spiritual Feasting
Superfasting is a term I coined that means to fast longer than you normally do. For my clients, it’s a step beyond their regular intermittent fasting that requires them to push their bounds and lean more into the Lord for strength. In Superfasting, we find that beautiful place where physical FASTING meets spiritual FEASTING. We invite the Lord into our Superfast and feast on His presence. We make it more of a spiritual experience by intentionally seeking ways to deepen our connection with Him. I ask all of my clients to step it up during the season of Lent and Superfast weekly. With Lent right around the corner, this episode is meant to prepare you for this wonderful way to increase your well-being in spirit, mind and body. For more information and to access the show notes for this episode, visit my website here: https://www.thechristiannutritionist.com/podcast/154

153: Ancient Physician Wisdom
I have a total crush on Hippocrates - a Greek doctor who lived over 2000 years ago. I am blown away by his instinct and foresight and the way he practiced medicine. He prescribed real food, walking, sunshine, fasting, rest, massages and wine. He’s the one who said all disease begins in the gut, something science is now starting to prove. In this week’s episode, we’re seeing how the advice of Hippocrates - who is considered the father of medicine - aligns with the provision of THE Father of Medicine. He left us some key nuggets of health wisdom and is our “honored guest” on the podcast this week. This is all about holistic medicine at its finest - come listen! For more information and to access the show notes for this episode, visit my website here: https://www.thechristiannutritionist.com/podcast/153

152: The Iron Episode with Michael Rutherford, FNTP
Fatigue, shortness of breath, restless legs, high cholesterol, circulation issues and gastrointestinal problems are a few of the symptoms you can experience with poor iron regulation. Being too high or too low are equally problematic and, yet, many people are advised based on the ferritin marker on their blood panel which is a poor way to assess iron levels. In this week’s podcast episode expert Michael Rutherford explains the markers, the foods, the supplements and everything you need to know when it comes to iron. Listen and learn about one of the most critical minerals in your body! For more information and to access the show notes for this episode, visit my website here: https://www.thechristiannutritionist.com/podcast/152

151: Healing Hormones Naturally with Dr Beth Cook
Many women who struggle with their hormones feel so lost and frustrated. They want to get their health on track but are given such limited (and often terrible) options by their doctors. Things like - birth control, HRT, a hysterectomy, depression meds or even being told they’re totally fine when they’re not.In this week’s episode Dr Beth Cook and I talk about what to address when it comes to your hormones instead of band-aiding it with prescriptions or surgery. 150: What Is A Biblical Diet?
There are a lot of books and differing opinions about what a Biblical diet is. I get asked about this often - mostly regarding whether or not we should all be plant-based vegans because God put Adam and Eve in The Garden. Spoiler alert: we sinned and got kicked out of The Garden AND God gave us meat to eat (not only that, He even specified what kind - see Genesis 9:3 and Leviticus 11). Another spoiler alert is that we don’t all live in the Middle East and so what was native to Biblical people is not necessarily “the” food list every person is meant to follow. There’s more critical thinking we need to do when it comes to being in alignment with a Biblical diet. That’s what we’re talking about in this week’s episode: the overarching Biblical concepts that best inform our approach to Biblical eating and what it means.
