Minna Salami on Sensuous Knowledge, Beauty And Integrity - E110

Can the powers of our flowing minds expand our language of reciprocity? In this episode entitled The Language Of Our Rivers, Amisha talks to Minna Salami, author, blogger, feminist theorist and lecturer. Minna’s blog ‘MsAfropolitan’ connects feminism with critical reflections on contemporary culture from an Africa-centred perspective. She is the author of ‘Sensuous Knowledge: A Black Feminist Approach for Everyone’, which explores universal concepts such as art, beauty, identity, blackness and womanhood with an Africa-centred, decolonial and feminist paradigm. Amisha and Minna explore the idea of beauty and how the poetry, language and willpower we receive from our rivers and from our natural world increases our sensuous knowledge, expands the volume of our integrity and flourishes the gardens of our beauty. Minna describes how the flow that shapes our rivers and the patterns of nature alongside them can inspire systems of power and governmental structures rooted in reciprocity. Minna believes that in the 21st century we are by default born into a multi perspectival approach that shapes our identities and knowledge into worldviews that are a golden opportunity to overcome the complex struggles humankind are facing. They speak about how our societies could utilise the wisdom traditions of our elders, especially our grandmothers as the antidote to the robotisation of our collective psyche during these current times. We learn that listening is beauty; that being present and the small things make us beautiful. They reveal that our complex identities are an opportunity for curiosity and inquiry to understand each other and the human species in greater depth; a powerful opportunity to embrace new perspectives and truths letting our minds flow like roaring rivers of reciprocity, integrity and beauty.  This podcast is part of a collaboration with St. Ethelburga’s called ‘Listening to each other, Listening to Earth’.   Links from this episode and more at https://allthatweare.org/2020/10/29/e110-minna-salami-on-sensuous-knowledge-beauty-and-integrity-the-language-of-our-rivers/ For Amisha's book INTUITION - https://amisha.co.uk/intuition/ Be part of AllThatWeAre community by using this link,  https://love.allthatweare.org/membership To work with Amisha one on one, visit https://amisha.co.uk/leadership/

Jonathon Porritt on Authentic Hope, Staying Grounded And Intergenerational Justice - E109

How can we keep showing up as active citizens of change? In this episode entitled A Call To Action – A Hope In Hell, Amisha speaks with Jonathon Porritt, an eminent writer, broadcaster and campaigner on sustainable development. He was co-founder & director of Forum For The Future, UK’s leading sustainable development charity. Jonathon has been on the front line of environmental campaigning for more than 45 years. He’s been a member of the Green Party throughout that time, and has worked tirelessly to promote the solutions to today’s converging environmental crises. Amisha and Jonathon talk about the deeper, often unseen, realities that are unfolding during this time in our lives. They reveal how we are circling around tipping points and how the changes of our planet due to global warming are growing a sense of urgency for us to become active citizens in shaping our future. Jonathon believes that the solutions we need are already amongst us and that the energy we are investing in creating impactful climate change and social justice movements can be balanced by staying grounded. Together they share how Earth focused practices and a life lived in reciprocity with nature are essential in order for us to show up with authentic hope and not as ‘shiny optimists’. We learn that authentic hope flourishes in a realistic and science based understanding of the nature of the world and our impact on it. They explore how we can draw authentic hope from the life of funghi to form ideas for our progressive movements, and how principles of psychology of change could be accelerated by technology in moving us towards a balancing of systems of powers. Their conversations guide us not to sweat perfectionism and to understand our spiritual insights as an even more powerful call to action from our heartlands than that presented by political ideologies.   Links from this episode and more at https://allthatweare.org/2020/10/22/e109-jonathon-porritt-on-authentic-hope-staying-grounded-and-intergenerational-justice-a-call-to-action-a-hope-in-hell/ For Amisha's book INTUITION - https://amisha.co.uk/intuition/ Be part of AllThatWeAre community by using this link,  https://love.allthatweare.org/membership To work with Amisha one on one, visit https://amisha.co.uk/leadership/

Tiokasin Ghosthorse on Earth Languages, Consciousness And Indigenous Intelligence - E107

Can Earth raise our consciousness into living lives of true reciprocity? In this episode entitled Walking Earth With The Gifts Of The Stars, Amisha speaks with Tiokasin Ghosthorse, member of the Cheyenne River Lakota Nation of South Dakota and a Sundancer in the cosmology of the Lakota Nation. He has a long history with Indigenous activism and advocacy, and is an international speaker on Peace, Indigenous and Mother Earth perspective. He is the founder, host and executive producer of “First Voices Radio”. In 2016 Tiokasin received a Nomination for the Nobel Peace Prize.  Amisha and Tiokasin journey along a stream of consciousness guided by Tiokasin’s Indigenous cornerstones and his fluid interbeing with Earth and Cosmos. Tiokasin opens up a portal to the Lakota understanding of innocence and elemental consciousness that we can receive by Earth listening to us and teaching us to hear our hearts lessons through its abundant gifts. He reveals how we have constructed systems of fear that condition us to speak tactically, economically and anthropocentrically, instead of naturally. He shares insights into the world of Lakota language, an Earth language of indigenous intelligence embedded in verbs, motion and action that speaks to three dimensions, that knows no war nor gender, and is created to relate and not divide or exclude.  Tiokasin’s shares that the Corona virus is presenting us with 33 intelligences brought to us at this time to expand our consciousness and to see our future within the Earth. We learn that we can grow to understand the virus in new forms; a pathway to understand the tools and energy of the earth to grow our relationship to the cosmos, and expand us into beings that are guided by the gifts of the stars to live a life of true reciprocity.     Links from this episode and more at https://allthatweare.org/2020/10/08/e107-tiokasin-ghosthorse-on-earth-languages-consciousness-and-indigenous-intelligence-walking-earth-with-the-gifts-of-the-stars/ For Amisha's book INTUITION - https://amisha.co.uk/intuition/ Be part of AllThatWeAre community by using this link,  https://love.allthatweare.org/membership To work with Amisha one on one, visit https://amisha.co.uk/leadership/

Trust, Interbeing And Sacred Sanctuaries with Bayo Akomolafe, Charles Eisenstein & Manish Jain - E106

What can we do to honour those that hold the world together? In this episode entitled Playing In The Wild Fields Of Trust, Amisha brings together Manish Jain (E39), an un-educator, giftivist, writer and co-founder of the Unschooling movement in India, Bayo Akomolafe (E13), a poet, philosopher, psychologist, professor and curator of the Emergence Network and Charles Eisenstein (E98) a social philosopher, author and public speaker; three leading thinkers and visionaries seeking to understand and shape the fabric of our earthly communities in new ways. In this life-affirming conversation they share their observations and insights of what is unfolding in their respective cultures during the current season of change. As invisible ‘secrets’, rituals and mythologies that bind or polarise our communities are revealed, they invite us into exploration of how we might change our worldviews relating to death, education, power dynamics and trust.  They talk about how with care for community, village economies and mutual aid, we may form life experiences that counteract our sense of separation and the fragile hostile global systems we have constructed. They reveal our current transformation as an opportunity to ask new questions about how we hope to shape this moment and how we might grow new fields of trust honouring the exponential possibilities we could seed. Their heart-led approaches encourage us to envision these possibilities as sacred sanctuaries where we might encounter things that are greater than ourselves. Their deep bond of brotherhood invites our spirit of playfulness to seek out wilder forms of thinking and education, wilder forms of coalitions, wilder forms of communication and change to shape new patterns of interbeing.   Links from this episode and more at https://allthatweare.org/2020/10/01/e106-trust-interbeing-and-sacred-sanctuaries-with-bayo-akomolafe-charles-eisenstein-and-manish-jain-playing-in-the-wild-fields-of-trust/ For Amisha's book INTUITION - https://amisha.co.uk/intuition/ Be part of AllThatWeAre community by using this link,  https://love.allthatweare.org/membership To work with Amisha one on one, visit https://amisha.co.uk/leadership/
