Steve F. Hallsey was most recently the Managing Director for Wood Residential. He oversaw the management, marketing, leasing, maintenance, and accounting for the company’s portfolio from coast-to-coast – including Wood Partners’ owned assets and a growing third-party management portfolio. Steve has nearly 40 years of experience in the multifamily industry and serves on the board of directors for NMHC. He is a frequent speaker and panelist at NAA events and other industry meetings and is often quoted in national publications. Prior to joining Wood Partners, Steve was the President and CEO of AMLI Management Company for 14 years. AMLI is a national management company owned by the Prime Property Fund, a real estate fund managed by Morgan Stanley. Previously he served as the Managing Director of Operations for Charles E. Smith, a publicly traded REIT in Washington DC.

My career began with one of the largest owner-managed property management firms in the US, starting on-site and quickly moving to an executive level position. After that I have been a national speaker and trainer and have provided consulting and advisory services to many real estate management companies, owners, developers, and proptech partners. I am a graduate of the University of Maryland, an avid outdoor enthusiast and active playmate to my grandchildren who greatly influenced my vision of the world.”

With 13 years of experience as a nonprofit executive, including an impressive 4-year tenure as CEO of a $6 million association, Nabil brings a wealth of knowledge to the table. As a licensed psychologist, he offers individual counseling services via telehealth in over 30 states, including DC, MD, VA, IL, TX, and NJ. Dr. El-Ghoroury isn't just a local expert – he's a global speaker who has addressed businesses and associations worldwide.
