Trevor Laher passed away while attempting a thru hike of the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT) in March of 2020. Despite the tragic circumstances, his father Doug Laher has made it his mission to educate other hikers of the PCT and beyond about how the accident could have been prevented. James Appleton, host of The 46 of 46 Podcast comes on for his second Trail Tales episode. We spent most of this episode talking about the 'overuse' issue in the Adirondack High Peaks....although calling it such is a massive simplification. James lives in the Adirondack Park, and thus has some unique and valuable views on the subject.
