Is Requesting a Demo a Good CTA?
Everything on your website is a hypothesis that you test using analytics to measure click-through rates. A demo as a call-to-action (CTA) can be ambiguous, so it's better to be specific and action-oriented. Using generic terms like 'solutions' is not helpful. Being specific and relevant to your target audience increases conversion. 'Get started' is a specific and concise CTA that performs well. When using 'demo' as a CTA, it's important to consider the potential negative connotations, such as being bombarded with emails. Alternative CTAs like 'watch demo now', 'get a walkthrough from an expert', or 'talk to an implementations pro' may be more enticing. The length of the CTA should not be a concern as long as it is effective. Further research can be done to understand what 'get a demo' means to people and whether it is still relevant.
