The Connection Between Mindfulness and Mental Framing in Meditation and Contemplation

Mindfulness involves being aware of our mental framing and the ability to break away from inappropriate frames and create new ones. In meditation, we step back from our frame and examine it, looking for any distortions. Contemplation, on the other hand, involves looking deeply into things and is different from meditation. Mindfulness includes both practices and is the ability to break an inappropriate frame and make a new frame. Mindfulness enhances insight and self-regulation by allowing us to see and realize new frames, improving our capacity for insight.
