How Anyone Can Develop The Mindset Of A Multi-Million Dollar Entrepreneur - Daniel Priestley
Deep Dive with Ali Abdaal
The downside of freelancing and the path to becoming an expert entrepreneur
Freelancing is not a great model as you end up doing all the tasks yourself and selling your own labor. The school system teaches us to be component labor, which means we become a piece of a larger system. Being an entrepreneur requires moving away from this mindset and focusing on the customer's outcome and needs. It is about having radical empathy with the customer, building a solution they want, and finding the right components to deliver that solution. It is also important to have expertise in organizing other people's labor and being the key person of influence. The goal is to avoid being a component in someone else's system and instead stand for an outcome and be an expert in that area.
