Fish Oil and Atrial Fibrillation

Fish oil, although previously believed to have health benefits, has been found to have no effect in reducing mortality or any other health markers. However, it has been observed that fish oil can cause atrial fibrillation, a condition where the top two chambers of the heart quiver instead of squeezing regularly. Atrial fibrillation can lead to strokes, shortness of breath, fatigue, and other complications. Additionally, both coconut oil and fish oil can raise LDL levels, and fish oil can increase the incidence of atrial fibrillation in individuals who are already prone to it.
