Willpower is not a limited resource, according to the latest research. The concept of ego depletion, where willpower is thought to be a depleteable resource, has been widely circulated. However, studies have shown that the only people who experience ego depletion are those who believe that willpower is a limited resource. This finding is important because it has implications for how we perceive ourselves and our ability to overcome challenges.
