E11: Bullshit Myths You See On Socials
This week on The Kirk Miller Podcast you will hear Kirk discuss 15 of the most common bullshit myths you see on social media.
Kirk has seen a lot of people on social media selling dreams and promoting things that just aren't true.
Social media has become very good at making people believe things that aren't true or even scientifically proven. Kirk will be looking at some common myths you might see on Instagram, Facebook or Twitter, and explaining why they're wrong. Most of these were started by well-meaning people who saw a problem and wanted to help, but ended up doing more harm than good and creating stories to easily convince people into buying their training, meal or supplement plans.
Don't believe everything you read on the internet. "To get a great body, you don’t have to lift weights." You need to lift weights to have a great body. The truth is, lifting weights will help with strength training and building muscle. “You can still eat what you want and lose weight” It is not possible to eat all your favourite foods and stay lean; you will quickly realise how calorie dense your favourite foods are and not remain in a caloric deficit.
You will learn:
- 15 Myths about health and fitness you will see on social media
- Why Kirk doesn’t believe in fasted cardio
- What you need to do before you train
- Why you cannot build your dream body in 3 months
