46. to drink or not to drink? let’s talk about alcohol.
In this episode, Jacey and Sasha share our personal relationships with alcohol and journey towards drinking less. We answer questions like:
- “What do you do on weekends?”
- “Will I lose my friends if I stop drinking?”
- “I have social anxiety and can’t go out without alcohol. What do I do?”
- “Do I have to be fully sober, forever?”
We’ve also got the science (thanks Andrew Huberman) to back up the long term effects of drinking on your health, stress levels, mood, and overall well-being. Our aim in this conversation is not to demonize alcohol. Instead, we hope to encourage you to consciously choose if and how alcohol shows up in your life, rather than opting into the mainstream.
Tune in to hear us discuss:
- Our journeys re-evaluating our drinking habits
- Consciously choosing your relationship with alcohol
- Going out sober
- The sobriety label
- Building the life you love not running from the life you have
- Long-term effects of alcohol on stress and mood
- Overemphasizing the place alcohol has in your life and friendships
- Drinking is not a personality trait
- Being the great experimenter
- And more!
