Husband.
Father.
World traveler.
And coffee aficionado.
All those things describe my good friend Matej Hocevar, and I’m beyond excited to have him back on the podcast.
Matej Hocevar is the co-founder and co-owner of VigorGround, a fitness and performance facility in Ljubljana, Slovenia.
He is a lead educator for the UEFA football fitness licences and UEFA coaching licences in the field of strength and conditioning for the Slovenian Football Association and head of rehab and consultant for the 1st team at FC Bravo, a Slovenian 1st division soccer team, as well as coach to several national team players and a mentor to young coaches.
And in this episode of the podcast, we examine the world of return to play protocols, the KPI’s he uses to monitor his soccer players in- and out-of season, the role of the S&C consultant, and how aging fit pros can stay happy, healthy and relevant as they age in our industry.
Let’s do this!

Have YOU Heard About the New IFAST University?
When Bill and I created IFASTU back in 2016, our singular goal was to make it an elite resource for trainers, coaches and rehab professionals across the globe.
Because there are 100’s, if not 1000’s of coaches who would love to come to IFAST and learn from us, but can’t.
So the new IFAST University is not only sleeker and more streamlined, but we also have two membership options based on where you’re at in your career.
Our IFASTU Standard option is like the Netflix of training con ed. Here you’ll have access to the complete IFASTU archive, which has well over 100 in-depth videos on topics like program design, coaching and anatomy and movement.
Plus, every month you’ll get a new piece of content from a world-class coach – someone that’s going to help YOU take your game to the next level.
But if you’re really looking to fast-track your progress, you may want to get in on IFASTU ELITE.
Here you’ll not only have access to the archives and monthly content drops like standard users, but you’ll also have direct access to both Bill and I each and every month.
Between two monthly Q&A calls, access to over 100 previously recorded Q&A call’s, and direct access to both us and our group of elite coaches via our private forum, this is a sure-fire way to get around the right people and level up FAST.
