Radio Show Interview with Lisa Downs on Business Buying and Ownership

I was recently a guest of Lisa Downs  (www.yournewaspect.com) on her radio show, Reigniting You. Lisa is a career coach for people 40+ and escaping the corporate world to own your own business is one of the options for her clients.

The show is in three segments and I am in segments two and three. In segment two we talk a bit about my background and experience and how I got to where I am now. In segment three we talk about what it takes to be a good business owner, a good business buyer, and what makes a good acquisition.

We feel business ownership is a viable option for the right person, although it is not for everybody. Often it takes somebody like Lisa to help a corporate executive realize what they really want to do in their next great adventure in life. 

If it's business ownership, those and the management and executive level often  have the skills of managing people, processes, money, and enthusiasm and therefore buying a mature, profitable, and fairly priced business is their best option. It's faster, cheaper, safer, and easier to finance than a startup.
