#136 ”Kambo” Animal Medicine: A Neurobiologist’s Key Tool for Healing & Transforming | Caitlin @ Medicine Frog Kambo
On this episode of Mind Body Peak Performance, our host, Nick Urban, and guest Caitlin Thompson delve into the transformative effects of a unique Amazonian medicine called Kambo.
Tune in to explore Kambo's physiological and long-term benefits, how it differs from classic psychedelics, the significance of medicinal integration, safe administration, and the potential for a paradigm shift in medical research.
Meet our guestCaitlin Thompson is a seasoned international Kambo practitioner, having served over 1,300 clients with a specialty in Lyme disease, autoimmune conditions, and other chronic illnesses. She came to her specialty by overcoming her own battle with Lyme disease and chronic illness symptoms—and is now proudly in remission and thriving.
Formally educated as a neurobiologist, Caitlin is a research associate at the UCSD School of Medicine and operates as an independent scientific researcher. Her studies have focused on psychedelics for autoimmune conditions and the prebiotic effects of herbs on the microbiome. She’s currently pioneering some of the first human studies on Kambo.
With 80+ appearances on podcasts, interviews, conferences, and even international TV, Caitlin bridges the gap between the art of Kambo and the scientific world.
