Peter Tzemis (@petertzemis) (https://petertzemis.com/) is a digital copywriter and is also my cousin. At the time we recorded this episode we were living together for several weeks in Florida. We had so many great conversations and knew one had to be recorded.

Digital copywriting is something that most people don’t understand and have no idea what that even means. The best way we found to describe is “digital Don Draper”. The same way there are ads on TV and in magazines, there are ads online and you’ve certainly seen them. Well, someone writes those ads, and that’s what Peter does.

We spoke about how Peter got into this world and tried to describe it as best we could. It’s not all scams and people trying to steal your money. Sure, that exists, as it does in every industry ever. Ad writing is important. It’s how people find out about good products and services. It’s just that there’s a dark side to it that each of us has to steer clear from.

This line of work – and the internet as a whole – allows one to work and live nearly anywhere in the world. You no longer need to be stuffed in a tiny condo in a busy city. You can live in a big house in the country, an ocean front apartment, or anywhere else you’d like to live. And this is where the freedom lifestyle comes in. Being able to make money and create wealth to be able to live the life you want.

Is this really different from fitness? I say no. You’ve got to put in the work, analyze what you’re doing, and be consistent and good at what you do. We reeled everything in to relate it to fitness as usual, and I think this is a perfect example of how lessons learned in the gym and transferrable to all aspects of our life.

We definitely fed off each other’s energy in this conversation, maybe swore a little too much and got a bit ahead of ourselves at times but we reigned it back in and brought it back to Earth when appropriate. There’s a lot to learn in this conversation, and we’re both still learning ourselves.
