We do not usually think consciously about blinking. Blinking is automatic, right? Actually, our blink rate goes down dramatically when we use a computer! Blinking is reduced under other conditions, too. Closing the eyelids all the way down is also important. Blinking fully and frequently can both prevent and mitigate dry eye syndrome.
