Lucie Hanes Mental performance training, Leadville podium, and 5.14 all in one summer.
In this episode I sit down with Lucie Hanes; Dual sport athlete and mental performance coach. Lucie Just got off of an amazing summer in both the athletic realm as well as in her mental health coaching business (insideoutathlete.com). She not only placed 2nd in the notoriously difficult leadville 100 amongst females, but she also broke into the 5.14 rock climbing grade by climbing the 7pm show in Rifle Colorado. Each of these accomplishments alone are lifetime objectives for many individuals. In the episode we talk about how her struggles over the past few years have made her into the powerhouse athlete that she is today. We also talk shop on how mental training has been incredibly important in balancing her life to be successful in all arenas. I even managed to get a few of her tips and tricks she uses with herself and her athletes to ensure the mental aspect of training is working WITH and not AGAINST your physical factors.
This episode is a great one if you are trying to progress in your athletic endeavors, while also keeping your life balanced. I highly recommend working with Lucie, or at the least checking out her website and awesome newsletter. Her website also has a bunch of links to her freelance writing for outdoor magazines, and other websites.
