Buckle up spiritual friends! We’re diving into a mystical world – Chinese Zodiac the Year of the Snake. Don’t be squeamish – the snake is positive!
This may surprise you, but this year’s Yin Wood Snake brings a gentle transformative energy, inviting you to be introspective and embrace change. In this episode of the Breathe Love and Magic podcast, I chatted with my friend Kim Julen, a Feng Shui Intuitive Coach, about what this mystical year has in store for you.
Kim pointed out there are two celebrations of Chinese New Year – the first is Lunar New Year (January 29th )and the Solar New Year (February 3rd) when the changes really start to kick in.
The snake symbolizes wisdom and transformation, offering a shift from the active energy of last year’s yang wood dragon. This year will be more feminine, with a calmer, introspective vibe. It’s about recalibration and welcoming new beginnings. As Kim put it, “This year, we have a chance to take a breath, go within, and embrace the yin.”
Kim and I spoke about the importance of slowing down this year. The snake teaches not only to grow but also to let go of what doesn’t serve you. It’s a time for healing and focusing on inner transformation. A year, perhaps, to focus on wellness—both emotional and physical.
Comparing this year with 2024, Kim noted that last year was about fiery activity even though the divine feminine energy was coming in. On the other hand, 2025 offers tranquility. It’s a year to tune into yourself and take a cosmic breath.
Imagine shedding old narratives and what no longer serves you just like a snake sloughs off its old skin. Then you’ll be ready to manifest with joy and lightness.
Think about it. While everyone else is out there hustling, you’ll be doing the real work of internal alchemy and emotional detox. Sort of like spiritual spring cleaning.
With Feng Shui insights, Kim shared this practical magic toolkit for the Snake year. Here are simple actions you can take to align your space with this year’s energy:
Also, last year, according to Chinese astrology, the wheel moved into period nine which is about completing things. If you want Success Tips for the Next 20 years to Navigate Period 9 with Success click here
For those of you who are curious, animals like the ox, rooster, and monkey are expected to fare well in this Chinese zodiac year of the snake. The pig, however, might need to take things a little slower. Feng Shui is all about “cures” and what can help any of you who might be born in a pig year is to carry a monkey talisman. The monkey is a snake ally, so it helps deflect any negative snake vibe.
This year’s energy is perfect for experiencing more joy and lightening up. I mentioned how learning about this was so synchronistic because I’m launching a new program, the day after Chinese New Year, on February 4th called The Magic Hour.
The Magic Hour is all about tapping into joy and community as ways to spark spiritual growth and manifestation. The Chinese zodiac year of the snake calls for embracing lightness and joy, which echoes the core principles of my program! So amazing! Learn more here if you are ready to approach manifesting and spirituality with a more playful, fun approach.

Kim emphasized daily practices that can help you harness positive energy this year. None of these are radical or new, but they do produce results! Try meditating, doing good deeds, and practicing gratitude. I shared how in The Magic Hour program, the group will share blessings for others and the world as well.
Keep in mind, your energy plays a crucial role in what you attract into your life. When working to manifest your heart’s desire, it works best to come from a higher vibration. The energy of joy is wonderful for manifesting.
As the cosmic conversation wrapped up, the message was clear: This is the year to embrace change and the opportunity for transformation brought by the Yin Wood Snake. You can learn so much about yourself even when facing challenges.
The snake teaches that true power isn’t loud—it’s deliberate. It’s not about forcing change but allowing it to flow through you. Elevating your energy helps elevate the world around you, creating ripples of positivity.
Every challenge is an invitation. Every moment is a chance to elevate not just yourself, but the collective energy around you. We’re not just individual beings, we’re interconnected threads in a massive cosmic tapestry.
Let’s review what was shared about the Yin Wood Snake Year:
These aren’t just spiritual platitudes, they’re practical life strategies that work whether you believe in cosmic energy or not.
What one thing are you ready to shed this year? What old pattern, belief, or habit has been holding you back? What new introspective habit are you willing to take on? The Snake year is asking you to get real, get honest, and get moving.
Start small. Meditate for five minutes a day. Journal your thoughts. Have those uncomfortable conversations you’ve been avoiding. Clean out that junk drawer—both literally and metaphorically.
The Universe doesn’t require grand gestures. It responds to intention. To authenticity. To the willingness to show up and do the work.
Join me in embracing the energy of this year and looking forward to the magic it will bring. Let’s step into it together, transforming with grace and enjoying the journey. Cheers to a year filled with wisdom, healing, and newfound joys!
