415 Chris McCormack: "Don't Underestimate the Power of a Dream"

Chris McCormack is a man who moved seamlessly between his life as a professional triathlete (2x Kona Champion, multiple World Champion) and his new business career. As the man behind SuperLeague Triathlon, he has been pivotal in helping ‘professionalise’ the sport of triathlon, giving athletes chance to race (and make money) from short course racing outside of a traditional governing body route. It’s a series that turned triathlon into a more spectator friendly format and made short racing exciting for the general public. As one of the founders of the Pho3nix Foundation, he’s helping fund hundreds of children and young athletes from disadvantaged backgrounds to be able to achieve their potential in Olympic sport. More than that, Macca is one of the biggest fans of triathlon, and one of it’s big thinkers, and we hear his views on where he sees triathlon going next, we review the 2022 triathlon year, and talk about who will be the names to watch in 2023.
