We, as parents, want to help our children overcome their fears and reason them away with simple messages like, "there are no monsters in the closet," "just jump in the water, you'll be fine," or "there's no such thing as the boogie man." But does this really help them overcome the fear itself? Or do they just shove it down to appease us? We are talking about why we sit through all the fears that come up in childhood and how to facilitate a safe space for them to process and eventually come to terms with their fears. Learn how to get more connected and cooperative kids with Michelle's Guide to Cooperation Course!
