Della Runnels was born in Fort Worth, Texas but has lived all over the U.S. and traveled to many amazing places! She quickly integrated her teaching skills with real estate to help buyers and sellers go through the home-buying process in Oklahoma. Della holds a Master's Degree in Instruction and Curriculum from Averett University in Danville, Virginia, and graduated with a 4.0 GPA. She started her professional career as an elementary school teacher, educating children in South Carolina, Virginia, Kansas, and Oklahoma. She has taught all grades from 1st to 5th including special education. Della participated in a volunteer organization called People 2 People chaperoning high school student ambassadors through France, Germany, Spain, Switzerland, Australia, and New Zealand. Awarded Teacher of the Year in Chesapeake, Virginia, Della, a very celebrated teacher became a coach for other teachers. She was also a dance coach for a local high school in South Carolina and was named Miss Charleston (Miss America) in 1985-86.
